Word on the radio this morning that some gas stations around Paducah were up to 4.50-4.70 a gallon. CRAZY.

Oil Prices dropped 2 days ago, this is some crap and there is no justification for these actions.

I filled up for 3.79 but they told me to expect about 1.00/gal jump sometime today.

Just got my gas for $3.73 in Okolona, and it jumped to $3.99 as I pulled out of the station.

Filled up at Kroger for 3.79 with the Kroger plus card. The gas attendent told me it was good to get it early, because it will be skyrocketing later in the day.

I just filled up with Premium in McKee for $3.85. There were lines onto the road. These rumors have created quite a rush in SEKY.

These rumors are what will sore prices, speculation and fear will cause massive amounts of purchase thus increase demand with a decrease in supply.

$3.89 to $3.92 in Burlington/Florence area.

I think it's going to skyrocket because people are panicking, not on it's own. If I'm wrong, well, I'll fill up for around $5 when the time comes. I'm not going to give in to panic.

Mom called me today and said get gas ASAP! She told me that gas is going up today.

 

At one place in Maysville there was like 12 cars waiting to get gas.

I had 5 phone calls before 1000am to get gas. I felt it was one of the internet rumors and dismissed it. I pulled out of work and saw th egas had went up .40 cents in 6 hours.

WKYT is reporting that the concern over IKE is causing this, however, Gustav didn't cause this panic and surge in gas. I heard that Richmond and Lexington gas stations were all but shutdown because they've run out of gas and it is over $5.50 a gallon there. Can anyone confirm that in that area, it is real hard to believe.
