Something else has had to transpire. Brooks never mentioned dismissing last week. He sure changed his tune a lot over the past few days. It went from "in house" discipline to off the team discipline.

 

I think he just wanted to avoid the knee jerk reaction.

 

For all that criticize for collecting as much info as possible before dropping the hammer, he would have looked 10x as silly if for some reason further evidence showed his innocence.

I'd say dismissing him is a pretty firm grasp.

Occasionally a post will be so outlandish that I laugh out loud--this is one of them.

 

I thought this was a good one, as well.

I'll bet you coach Brooks listened to his story, made him take a drug test and when he got the results the story did not match up and he was dismissed.

Once Brooks had all the information (which none of us probably have), he made the decision he felt was in the best interest of the program. Noone can say he did not give Pulley his chances, but I hope that Curtis takes this as a sign that changes need to be made. He has too much potential to not do something positive somewhere. I wish him the best, but I do support Brooks in his decision.

I think Kentucky was going to go with Hartline at QB anyway, but they lose an option they needed and someone they were going to get out on the field somewhere else almost certainly. It's a shame this kid couldn't have pulled it together. A story we see all too often.
