NKY JV Regional Tourney Update

This is what I have been told:

 

There are seven teams left as of today. (Do not think any game could have been played today.)

 

West:

 

Ryle will play Boone vs Conner winner in final four. Game at Ryle scheduled for Friday at 5PM.

 

East:

 

New Cath vs Holy Cross

 

Cov. Cath vs Highlands

 

Winners play on Friday at NCC at 5PM

 

Championship Game at Dixie Saturday at 7PM. (West winner vs East winner)

 

Of course mother nature could alter this schedule.

 

 

If anyone has additional updates, please post. Good luck to remaining teams.

It'll be interesting to see who makes it to the finals. HC has beaten Ryle and CCH at least twice they have to play well to get past Ncc.

Unfortunately that looks to be the case, what are the chances they will cancel the tournament due to weather?

Well I have heard if its not done by Sat then its over, but I am not sure why they cant just play it on Sunday.

That's a easy one, too many of the teams use JV players on their Varsity teams and the District start Monday.....

I don't know about that. Is there really that big of a difference between playing a late Saturday evening game or early Sunday afternoon? I would think they would try to finish it on Sunday, if necessary. Or at least they should try to finish it if they can. It means a lot to those players, coaches, fans, and families.

They will have to finish on Sat. That is when the season ends. Scott HS was fined by the KHSAA a few years back for playing a game on the Sun before the District tournament. I guess they could maybe get a ruling from the comish though.

The Holy Cross/NCC game has been cancelled today. I guess they plan on making it up Sat morning.
