Didn't CentreRocks indicate that this info could be obtained through an "open records request"? Maybe some enterprising soul would want to attempt this. But surely there must be an easier way.

that signed the letter to the KHSAA asking the KHSAA to have X and T meet before the finals?

What makes them terrible? What did the exact letter say that made them terrible?

My guess is that most of them are from outside the Louisville and Lexington areas, the more rural part of 6A ...

Well, though process of elimination, there are 36 6A schools, and I assume that St Xavier and Trinity can be excluded, that leaves 34 schools, so 20 of those are are the list and 14 are not.

If we go by westsider's opinion, we can also eliminate Butler, Dupont Manual, Pleasure Ridge Park, Ballard, Eastern, Male, Henry Clay, Lafayette, Paul Dunbar, and Tates Creek. That is 10 in addition to St Xavier and Trinity, making 12 out of the original 36 leaving 24 schools. I think by this rational we can pretty much deduct most of the 20.

CLASS 6A

District-6-1- Apollo, Daviess County, Graves County, Henderson County, Madisonville-North Hopkins, Marshall County

District-6-2- Central Hardin, Greenwood, Meade County, Nelson County, North Hardin

District-6-3- Butler, DuPont Manual, Pleasure Ridge Park, St. Xavier

District-6-4- Bullitt Central, Fern Creek, Male, Southern

District-6-5- Ballard, Eastern, Seneca, Trinity (Louisville)

District-6-6- Boone County, Campbell County, Conner, Ryle, Simon Kenton

District-6-7- Henry Clay, Lafayette, Paul Dunbar, Tates Creek

District-6-8- George Rogers Clark, Madison Central, Scott County, Shelby County

Wow, The terrible 20, Most of the state outside of T and X fans see a problem with them being in the finals. Just like we would if two teams from Lexington or any other city were able to meet in the finals.

I doubt seriously that Nelson County's Bart Bruner, the former D.C. at St. X and more importantly, a live and elt live sort of guy, signed the letter.

How is it a problem?

How about someone stepping up and keeping them out of the finals?

No, no wait it's easier to write letters.

I would not bet against Lexington schools being on the letter. You are talking about the same area that put the block on Lexington Catholic when it comes to playing games.

I like the idea of coaches willing to stand up for what they feel is right irregardless of how some are going to negatively portray them. They probably knew full well that they were going to get ripped by the stance but they had the intestinal fortitude to stand up for what they felt was right.

Great role models for their players to stand up for what is right no matter how much stuff is going to be said about you and heaped on you.:thumb:

I'm not following the reasoning behind this? What makes the Louisville publics and Lexington 6As immune to this?

The players probably know how the coach feels.

Agreed on both these parts. The Lexington school system has shown itself to be just petty enough to do such a thing in the past, and I wouldn't be so quick to exclude them from the list of 20.

Okay, for what it's worth did you read this post in the other thread?

Gee, how many times do we have to go over this ... stuff?

In 6A (as was the case in the old 4A), the geographic midpoint is right down the middle of Louisville. As it turns out, St. Xavier is on the west side of the line and Trinity is to the east.

There has been no gerrymandering to get those two programs on opposite sides of the line, only by those that have tweaked the playoff system to get those two teams to meet before the championship game.

Here's a challenge, everyone ... one I've laid out before and no one has met. Draw up a 6A alignment that is geographically sound and balanced and has Trinity and St. Xavier on the same side of the playoff bracket.

Again westsider is the most neutral party on this website where this stuff is concerned.
