UK was terrible last night and no excuses.

Rome, has probably never seen UK in any game and happens to pick up his remote and finds the game, then thinks "hey, if I rip this Coach maybe someone will actually watch my show"....I've forgotten more about sports, than he'll ever know and he is nothing more, than a kettle stirrer/reporter of nothing.

Jim Everett, should have made good on his promise years ago.

Did he back it up with any substance?

The responses in this thread should be interesting...

I'm loving all the Jim Everett references the past 2 days....

He also said the Lakers shouldn't beat the Cats by 40. Rrriiiggghhhhhttt.

Take it easy. Everett is buying time. He's waiting for that moment and then BAM!:fight:

:thumb::thumb:I couldn't have said it any better, what I can't believe is that there is anyone that actually watches this clown. Rome is a joke.

Does he ever back up anything with any substance? Other than his own stupidity of course.

Here is the exact take from his website (same as what he read on the TV show):

Just when it looked as if the Kentucky Wildcats might have turned things around in route to a NCAA tournament berth, they score 11 in the first half and get jacked up by Vandy 93-52! A 41 point beat-down would suggest they haven’t turned anything around!

Somewhere, Adolph Rupp is spinning in his grave! In fact, he’s probably trying to fight his way out of his box to get to practice to show these guys how Kentucky basketball is supposed to be played. Vandy is nice, but they shouldn’t be beating Kentucky by 41. The Lakers shouldn’t beat Kentucky by 41! Tubby Smith might not have been who you wanted him to be, but at least he never lost by 41. Or, at home to Gardner-Webb! Michigan losing to Appalachian State in Ann Arbor thought that was pathetic!

Fact of the matter is, coach Billy Gillispie was brought in as the anti-Tubby Smith, but in his desire to be the hard case, and the tough guy, he’s alienating his players. They’re obviously not buying in! And why would they?

Does everyone blindly bashing Rome disagree with this?

There's a reason why Rome is on before most of us gets home from work :thumb:

If you think Bradley and Crawford haven't bought into his system then you haven't watched much UK basketball the last 3 years.

Did he base it on anything more than 1 game?

IIRC, BCG also beat Vandy this year, which is something that hadn't been done in the last two years. He also has a couple of wins over ranked teams, which UK hadn't done in a while.

Terrible game, but the guy does know how to coach.
