Martz has nothing to do with Woodson's ability.

Why would Martz change mechanical things of the players. I would think the Senior Bowl is supposed to be designed to highlight players. I say let the kids play their game in a game like this.

IMO, he is far better prospect than the others.

Colt, Woodson and Brohm are 2nd tier. ( maybe a few others in this class)

Woodson is still projected to go to the Bears in every scenario I've seen.

 

Not in Mel Kiper's. Woodson is NOT a first round pick in Mel's mock. Only Ryan goes Round 1; no Woodson, no Brohm.

The article does not attack Andre', rather it focuses on Martz and how his approach to these four days is actually hurting these 3 QB's (Woodson, Ainge, and Brennan). The article says that Martz has been tinkering with all 3 Qb's dropbacks and mechanics in an effort to see how they would fit into his system. McShay says that while this affects all 3 QB's, it is hurting Andre' the most:

 

"Essentially, Martz has unintentionally highlighted Woodson's weaknesses while masking his strengths."

 

He finishes by saying that this is not an excuse for Woodson, but it does help to explain why they are not seeing the same player this week that they have seen on film throughout his career.

Martz isn't changging anyone's mechanics at the Senior Bowl, come on.

Your comments are showing your ignorance of the transition of the college game to the pro. At workouts when Couch come out they changed his throwing mechanics.....just from a workout.

I love Woodson but I think it's pretty known he has somewhat of a long delivery. It's something he will have to work on. I honestly don't mind him slipping some. That means he has a chance to go to a better team and not be fed to the wolves. He has progressivly gotten better and I don't see that changing any. I don't know if any of these QB's are world beaters. You just never know in the NFL. I do think he can have a good career there and am thankful for what he did at UK!

Every scout I've seen has Matt Ryan #1 as far as QB's. I've been seeing Brohm to Chicago quite a bit. The Dolphins are shopping their pick but nobody seems eager to move up for it. The Delewar QB is built like Anderson in Cleveland around 6'6 but is struggling even getting a snap right now. That's the bad thing for folks that are in the gun all the time. This week is really big but the combines are even more important.

Woodson might slide but I don't see him dropping out of the first round. If he does then it won't be late in the 2nd. Life could be a lot worse couldn't it:)

PS: Martz doesn't believe in protecting his QB's or running the ball which is why it's a puzzling hire in San Fran with a young QB and Gore. I REALLY hope Woodson and Brohm stay out of there!

What are the projections saying about Colt Brennan? My guess is that its gone down from where many imagined during the season.

I've never seen where Brennan was projected to start with. Does anybody know? I wouldn't think it would be very high. Maybe 3rd round?

I think Matt Ryan is terrible and will share his legacy with another Ryan (Leaf).

It just said that Woodson has had to change the way he throws the ball by trying to drop back quicker and release the ball faster.

 

Which is something he will have to do, to be successful in the NFL. People can crack on Martz all they want, but when it comes to straight QB play, he is frist rate, at coaching, and judgement of talent.
