Hey TD, we're glad you could join us and it was good seeing you again. I enjoyed meeting LJ. Nice young man. My guess is that he beat the spindly armed Collinsworth in an arm wrestling contest. Hopefully he had a great time running around in the gathering.

 

Thanks for all your help in guiding in and getting the pre game set up and organized. You're the best and you are always welcome at any Highlands game.

LJ is awsome. I like that when he meets people (like CC) it quickly turned into a competition (arm wrestle). I love that competative spirit.

A special thanks to the Seniors for their leadership, dedication and pure and simple love for the game of football. You have made all of us so very proud in Titletown, USA. You are a champion footballer- a title no one can take from you for the rest of your life! This unprecedented experience is invaluable. It will be the cornerstone of many more accomplishments that are waiting for you in the game of life! You are admired by your peers, respected by your coaches and loved greatly by your parents... it is now your new responsibility to pass the torch of leadership on to your underclassman.

 

Underclassman... thanks to you for your many contributions towards #17! There were many that played such a vital role in reaching 15 -0. Football is a team sport and you fellas played with equal dedication and spirit! As a senior parent, I can not wait to watch the '08 squad continue the winning tradtion at Highlands. Many of you waited patiently on the sidelines during games. If you were frustrated, you kept your emotions in-check. It's now your turn to show your special talents on the field. The weight room is open. Don't be a stranger - start developing your body and mind today towards a winning '08 football campaign! Best of luck to you!

 

Dale and the entire coaching staff did a tremendous job! They were raked over the coals last year on this website as many questioned their leadership and coaching abilities. Unfortunately, they were questioned and unfairly criticized this year for various reasons. (Passing/Running, etc.) I sincerly hope that all Highlands fans now realize that we are so fortunate to have such fine men coaching and leading our kids. Who knows how many hours this staff logged in during the regular season and during the playoffs to have our young athletes prepared for the games? Who knows how many sacrifices were made on family time so that our athletes were prepared for the games? Who knows how many seasons we will be blessed with the same coaching staff? The perfect season is now over. Before the glory of raising #17 last evening in Louisville fades, thank the men who led our kids to victory on and off the field this season. They deserve the recognition that so many of us fail to give.

 

Parents and friends of HHS football ~ you were great. We enjoyed all the meetings, dinners and celebrations that took place all of over Ft. Thomas during the season. It is this unique community that makes football at Highlands so very special.
