I thought it was interesting that Highlands was only the 6th largest school playing this weekend.

Thanks for bringing this up....We weren't the largest thankfully :D

Lay off the caffeine my friend.:D We have a very nice squad, but I can't see us beaing X (if that's what you mean by giving them a run for their money).

Thank you for the sanity Leatherneck; this was undoubtedly St. X's best team ever; with 70+ seniors going undefeated against the national power schedule that they played, that is much to ask of the KY 5A State Champion Bluebirds.

I think a certain someone has a Highlands website that needs to be updated:thumb:

Oh trust me, it will be updated this week! I am actually in the process of coming up with some significant changes and additions to it, which is why the complete updates haven't been put in yet. The blog (highlighting this season) is fully updated, though!!!!!

Hey they just gave your team kudos on pre-game Sunday night football with Mr. Collinsworth!! :dancingpa:dancingpa:ylsuper::ylsuper:

Had a chance to watch the game on tv. I thought 33, 44 and 55 played extremely well for HHS. I was impressed at the upfield pressure HHS got from its DL and lbs. Did teams have success with the draws, screens or traps this year against you guys?

Cecil is a very good qb, but the ol was outstanding. They got their hips around very well on the defenders and they were low off the ball. Has Cecil had to throw the ball at all this year?

It seemed like HHS pass defense may be the weakest part of the team (not that it's that bad).

I think HHS and Trinity were the only two teams this weekend who didn't have offensive linemen who were fat, or more kindly, had bellies. Seems that speed, at every position on the field, wins out over size.

Dang! I wish I would have seen it!

I read through this entire thread, but I might have missed it...Is 29 going to be OK? Whatever took place, it appeared he was in pretty good pain after being brought off the field. After that thing of beauty at the half, and the way he played all year, I certainly wish him the best in his recovery.

Terry O'Brian (#29) broke his ankle.

Well, I missed this one. OK, time to eat my crow. Congrats to the Bluebirds.
