Guru, what did you think of the Bluebirds' performance tonight, and throughout the season as a whole?

Congrats 'Birds, you are the best team in 5A.

 

Congrats to the Purples on a great season.

 

There were some big hits and great plays in this one.

Bathiany had a big hit on the TE(?).

Simons blew up BG's QB on one play, it was an awesome hit.

BG's QB put a shot on #5, really rocked his world. I think #5 returned to action on the next series.

 

I think the Hail Mary to end the half was awesome, great throw and a great catch.

 

Great game all the way around.

I wish you guys would go up to 6 A. The Ville Teams are waiting for you.

Maybe it would be a little more of a game against St. X or Trinty.

The Birds are really a AAA team student wise....If they played in their real classification they would win state every year..

Congrats to the Highlands Bluebirds for a wonderful season. I have watch these youngmen prepare for this season and the work ethics, dedication to try to be Champions and the first class bunch of guys that they are. I 'm not surprized at all, that they have pulled this off, and went undefeated (15-0), The first ever Class AAAAA State Champs.

Thanks to the the Bluebird players, coaches, managers, parents, and fans. You made this season unforgettable, and so much fun.

 

Good luck seniors as you move on. You've accomplished your goal and now you'll have new ones to reach for.

 

Underclassman, relish this win tonight (okay, we'll give you tomorrow too). But then begin to set your focus on what is to come -- another fine season of Highlands football.

I Knew that but it wouldn't be that Interesting if they went there, I thought about that but realized they wouldn't have any fun beating people up and going Un-defeated EVERY SEASON........ LOL

You know, It would just be wonderful to see these powerhouses compete, at lease in seasonal play. Espsecially, now that the next two Bluebird teams know that they have some of the best athletes in the state. And, that they have Mr. Kentucky football with Joshua Connor on their team. Good luck! All of these teams represent the Bluegrass well, they could play with any team in the Nation.

Time to hang up the Keyboard until next Fall?????

By the way, I met so many BGPers at the game tonight my head was spinning! I had them coming up to me and introducing themselves. It was really cool. But I also had perfect strangers coming up to me and asking where to send their $5.00. Thanks so much Guru ol' pal!

I don't know if I'd go that far, but the Trinity folks I was with tonight were chompin' at the bit for the chance to renew the series with HHS!

IMO the journey to win state in 2008 starts tommorrow, I know a couple of next years players that are working out tom. That's dedication!!
