Rushing yards

UK - 126

UT - 123

Little - 23 rushes - 69 yards.

Locke - 6 rushes - 49 yards.

Woodson - 10 rushes - -17 yards.

I am proud of my Vols, but it was truly a great game by both teams. I expected the Vols to win big, but Kentucky came out in the second half ready to play. The longest winning streak against an opponent is now at 23.

I really don't know why people are upset with the performance of Kentucky. I thought they over achieved in this game. Both teams made mistakes, as in every game ever played. I don't think UT played bad to keep UK in the game, I think UK played very good to keep UK in the game.

Face it UT's run defense had some trouble, and UK's pass defense had trouble. Both teams had trouble with the other team at times, but it was one great game. As for it being five hours long, I had five hours of great entertainment with my son, both of us rooting for the team that won in a game that went to a dramatic OT finish. What else can you ask for?

I just got home from the game, all I can say is the seniors left everything they had on the field.

Some random thoughts from today....

We (UK) had our shots to win.

A tennessee 60+ yd. pass play to open the game didnt help.

Jacob Tamme played the best football I have ever seen him play.

I was on the opposite end of the field on the last 2-pt conversion, I really couldnt tell what happened, but it looked like it was a busted play.

This was the first year I had season football tickets, and I can honestly say I have got my money's worth!

I got to meet James Robert Kennedy a.k.a. Radio today.

I cant believe they blocked that kick in the 2nd OT.

Refresh my memory on David Jones: Is he a WR or a DB? Can we have a DB out there who isn't always a DB?

To be honest. This isn't really a time for a moral victory. Most UK supporters believed this was THE year the UK was going to win. They had their shots but in the end had poor leadership, be it from the Head Coach, the OC, or Andre.

Locke ran much harder than Little. Little however had a bunch of nice catches.

UT's band was sweet at half time but

If I never hear Rocky Top again it'll be to soon..

Coldest day of my life..

Just not cold enough for you know where to freeze over. Or the Cats would have won.:D

NO, just a voice that agrees with you.

Why did the play-calling get conservative after the Maxwell INT? Are we really trying to set up a FG by an inconsistent young kicker? Could the youngster have gone any slower in approaching the kick?

Win or lose with Woodson/Burton/Johnson/Little and not Sieber.

Amen

I just came home for a True Blue day - both the football and basketball games... What a day.

Tennessee appeared to be the better team during the first half. I told my wife that they are just a better team. I noticed a lot of fans leaving at halftime (bet they wished they would've stayed). The play that broke the Cats' back was the Woodson interception that led to the final score in the first half. Even with that, they had numerous opportunities to win the game. They should've scored at the end of regulation to win the game, but failed. They should've kicked the field goal in the 2nd OT (actually they should've continued playing football and went for the TD, but they went conservative). They should've brought pressure on Ainge in the 4th OT instead of giving up a 40-yard pass. Either way, the Cats again showed that they can play with the big boys, but its a very tough loss, IMO.

I don't see how you can fault them for playing to win with the field goal... Running the ball and not taking the chance of throwing a pick would have been a great call if the kick wouldn't have been blocked.
