UT 52 UK 50

Woodson - 39 of 61 - 430 yards - 6 TD's - 2 INT's

Good looking stats but he didn't give the Cat's a W. At the end of regulation with 8 seconds left maybe? he drops the ball. Then he gets sacked. All year I have thought he was a bit overrated. I know you UK fans will jump all over me but that's what I think and im pretty sure I am not the only one. He has good numbers, but look at UK's record. 7-5 after starting 6-1. That doesn't look to good.

Woodson did not lose the game for Kentucky by himself. He certainly could have won it, and he could have played a heck of a lot better, but this L does not fit squarely on his shoulders.

I cetainly agree here, as cville stated earlier there is plenty enough blame to go around. I am still so disgusted by this loss can barely post - I wanted U.T. bad!.

Bottom line was they made the plays they had to, so did U.K. but not the ones thaty really counted.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. We (U.K.) just lost another football game that the Cats should have won.............end of story. There is no such thing as a moral victory, U.K. Lost.

I hate to see this group of seniors go out like this, they have played a HUGE role in bringing the U.K. football program back to some level of respectibility, from a bottom dweller program to an average to above average program. The point is imo U.K. football is headed in the right direction. Hopefully that will continue.

Congrats to all of them for a job (and carrer) at U.K. well done.

It was a great game to watch, just to bad the blue team didn't win.

UK being content for the FG in the 2nd OT is what cost the Cats. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!!

Agreed.

Tamme is a warrior..he will play in the NFL.

:thumb: I 100% agree on Tamme, my favorite U.K. player for the last few years.

Heck of an effort by both squads. Woodson has to feel that backside pressure. He's not even close to fast, and he was in the pocket for a while....

Why did the play-calling get conservative after the Maxwell INT? Are we really trying to set up a FG by an inconsistent young kicker? Could the youngster have gone any slower in approaching the kick?

Win or lose with Woodson/Burton/Johnson/Little and not Sieber.

To me the play of the game was when UK had the ball in regulation with enough time for about 3 plays and had a timeout. They elected to run the ball from around the 4 the first play and got stuffed. They ended up calling their last time out and it almost cost them the game as the snap was dropped then Burton was missed wide open in the endzone with one second left. KY could have thrown the ball on 1st down especially with a run pass option. They throw it away and there's enough time to run or throw on the next down.

I also thought they got to conservative in the OT's. 3 down linemen with no blitz equals a ton of time to throw the ball. UK's defense kept them in the game the 2nd half though!

I guess you could argue the turnover before the half then giving up the TD hurt pretty darn bad as far as backbreakers! It just seemed like KY was going through the motions the first half. The option to the short side of the field made me cringe thinking about the old Tim Couch option to the short side under Curry days!

I'm proud of the Cats and everybody involved in the program. I really hoped the SR's would go out of Commonwealth with a win over UT. Tamme might go down as my favorite UK player ever or at least up there. I still don't think they give him the ball enough even though he had almost 10 catches for 100 plus. The first down catch on 3rd and 1 was amazing!

At least he's consistent...

With the emerging UK football program, somehow, we can simply still explain the 52 - 50 4 OT loss as vintage Kentucky Football...... My hats off to the team. Played a heck of a game and came up short. Always woulda's, shoulda's and coulda's but the team fought and continued to fight till the final play. Improve on our weaknesses and be prepared for the next OT game..... Good Luck in the Bowl season as well.....

Didn't get to see any of the game except part of the first quarter (kind of snuck into the lobby of the Ashland Plaza hotel while daughter was down the street trying on fancy dresses). Sounded like a great comeback by UK only to let things slip away.

I echo the sentiments of those praising the play of Tamme!

When will UK ever beat UT??

Not next year but the year after.

In related questions, who can tell me the next winning Powerball numbers or the location of any pots of gold?

Seriously, it could be another 10-30 years.

My girlfriend got to go see this classic. (Working on the weekends suck)

Tamme will be productive in the NFL.
