November 26, 200718 yr The lack of class was the Tennessee starting kicker flipping the UK fans off when they heckled him. And yes, my wife and I both saw it. Also, UT is a very dirty team. There were a lot of cheap shots on the field that the refs didn't see. They did see at least two that I can remember that resulted in 15-yard penalties, but they missed another 2-3. You were lucky to escape Lexington with a win, which kind of screws the SEC because there are 2 better teams in the SEC East that would be better representatives in the SEC title game. As it turns out though, it is really a blessing in disguise, because this just means you're stuck with Fulmer for another 2-3 years. :thumb: UT was using binoculars to get Cats offensive signals. That is why they had to hold up a towel to shield the plays calls being signaled into the game.

November 26, 200718 yr Well, looks like a typical after UT win on here. Guys the bottom line is this; Overall, the fans at both UK and UT are some of the best in the nation. There are always going to be people who have zero class and heckle and whatnot during the game. Taking that out on student athletes is just not cool. Don't let a few bad apples make the rest of your fans look bad. I mean practically all my friends are UK fans and win or lose, I was still in my fav establishment. I was prepared to take all the "stuff" if we had lost. Too bad one fan had to go a little far and unplug the jukebox when "Rocky Top" came on...and a UK fan had played it! Now that is low class! Now, I do congratulate UK for an impressive comeback (although Chavis and the VOLS defense had more to do with it than UK did) and good luck in your bowl game! :thumb:

I really like the spread formation as that, in my opinion, opens up the running game better, than running it out of the I formation. I wished we had done this in the first half. Anyway, I wished we had won. Can't stand to lose to Tennessee.

Only 23 years in a row!!! :dancingpa In all seriousness, I thought it was a great game, The play that Tennessee scored from 40 yrds out was a broken play, according to Fulmer the kid ran the wrong route, just shows people how youthful the Vols really are!
November 28, 200718 yr I believe that UK became too conservative in the second overtime. Unless you have a kicker who is automatic(and they are few and far between), you should never quit what has been successful for you and settle for a 50/50 field goal. You see teams quit being aggressive on defense(i.e., PREVENT) and that never works. A team can also quit attacking on offense and that, too, often ends in disaster. I feel there was probably an 80-90% chance UK wins in 2nd OT had they remained aggressive in their offensive mindset. Maybe it's just me...whay say you?

And I believe I remember saying Brooks would cost UK a game this year...Don't get me wrong Brooks has done a GREAT job at turning this program around and I want him here. However he still makes some not so smart decisions in games, especially at the end of them...

Sometimes it's just bizaar.
