And I thought it was curious that you were unable to come up with but a couple of posts actually from NKY. You resorted to throwing in a bunch from outside the area.

If Boone remains one dimensional...Farris will have a 2-3 ypc. No way to predict if he will get 20 or 50 carries. Probably 40+ just to say they had 100+ yard carrier against the rocks.

 

Boone stands "no chance" to be remain close unless they have zero turnovers, force 4-5 from Trinity and throw in a couple of passing wrinkles.

 

Trinity's OC will not be held in check unless they turn the ball over.

Trinity's DC will FEAST if Boone decides to run the ball every down.

 

Gotta love the underdog's enthusiasm going into the game though...at least the game will be high energy until the score is 21-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

 

If I were the BC OC, I would spread the field and throw bubble screens and run jet sweeps to Farris. Might need to go with a half back pass on the first series to try to get a cheap one and keep some kind of momentum.

Huh? Bad comparison. A better comparison would be Trinity basketball fans claiming they were going to beat Ballard or Scott County in basketball, i.e. there is little history to support their claims. Trinity has never lost to Boone County or Ryle. It may happen this Friday re Boone, but it's not very likely. If you make outlandish statements on a message board, you should be prepared to be called out on them. Yes, that goes for me or anyone.

How do you know where they are from or whether they are from NKY? :confused: I assume luvthemraiders, diamond dandy, fballstud06, imafan and old raider 22 are Ryle supporters. Believe me, if you take the time to read the thread, you'll soon realize I didn't resort to anything. :lol:

For having such an elite program and the confidence to go along with it you Trinity fans seem to get overly sensitive about one or two posts. You've managed to reference two posts from an enormous thread nearly a year old to make case that "it's always the same thing." Everyone knows Trinity is good and they are going to most probably trounce Boone, but heaven forbid Boone fans express a little confidence in their team.

I see where CentreRocks is coming from though, dont make crazy predictions and continue to be wrong year after year, and not expect to be called out on it. Until Boone or Ryle beats Trinity, I will fully expect Trinity to run them off the field, until BCHS or RHS can prove otherwise.

I have stated many times in other post that in the late 80's and early 90's that Boone was a great team that only needed to throw the football a little just to keep Trinity and X honest and we would be talking a lot differently today as I really think Boone should have won several titles but the game plans were not good enough to match the talent they had at the time. Trinity is playing on a totally different level on the offensive side of the ball since Betty came to town I just do not see BC staying in this game long provided the Rocks play as hard as they have the the past three weeks. This is not intended to disrepect the Rebels they are a good football team with a winning tradition but they are still playing the same style of power football and they do not have the same caliber player the program once had and they did not win then so I just don't see it happening this year. Rocks win.

For what it is worth, I expect this game to be much closer than many are predicting. First, you don't get to the state semi-finals without having something. Second, Trinity has not shut down strong running attacks this year. Take a look at the Henry Clay game. HC had over 400 yards of offense. In addition, I think poor play calling cost them two touchdowns. I expect a Trinity win, but I'll go into this one expecting the same thing I always expect this time of year - a hard fought game. Sometimes when you are playing Trinity the score can get out of hand because the defense just can't stop the very sophisticated Trinity offense. That doesn't mean that it wasn't a hard fought game. I remember last years title game against Ryle. Ryle would make a couple of good plays and then a defensive breakdown would result in a Trinity score. Most teams have those breakdowns because they just don't see everything that Trinity throws at them very often. Have a safe trip down from NK and welcome.

"Jimmyref, I agree with you about a the talent of Boyd and how difficult it may be to stop him. However, the outcome of this game is totally dependent on HC's defensive coordinator. There are very, very few coaches at the high school level who are capable of scheming with Trinity's offense. Add to that Bob Beatty who prepares a GREAT offensive scheme for each week. Although I hate to admit it (since I am a St. X fan) in order to beat Trinity in the playoffs, you have to have turnovers and some luck. Most importantly, you have to be able to score in the 30's, which is nearly impossible for 99% of the teams in the state.

 

My main point: HC better bring more to the table than one talented receiver, because Trinity's defense could stop any GREAT player if he doesn't have any help. The only prediction I am sure of...Boyd will not have a stellar game. Write it down."

 

 

HERE IS MY POST FOR THE HENRY CLAY GAME...fill in the blanks with BC's Defensive coordinator and Farris for Boyd and you get the same results. And again...write it down.

 

There is only one team in Kentucky that has a chance to scheme with Trinity's offense and we all know who that is. Looking forward to the rematch.

I don't feel the rebels can win this game, but I do feel that Farris will get 100+ yards. He did so his sophmore year on only 29 carries. Of course both of these teams have different players on both sides of the ball, but i think he'll get 100 yards in fewer than 40 carries. I also don't feel the coaches are looking to be able to say they had a 100 yard rusher against T. They are looking to do whatever it takes to win the game.

Trust me! The Rocks players and coaches do not look past the game that is in front of them. The system Beatty has put in place does not allow for that to happen. The Rocks will be prepared!!!
