I would almost guarantee that the team is not overlooking Boone. They are too good of a program to do so. Now, there are a few posters who are overlooking the Rebels, but that's nothing new.

You might see some Rock fans overlooking Boone on this board, but the team will be focused on the game at hand. Many people on BGP often "assume" the comments of 5 or 10 Trinity fans on this board represent the opinions of the whole Trinity family and team. This is very misguided. The boys will be ready.

Exactly right.....let's clarify, here's what Trinity -vs- Boone Co, looks like:

 

1988 - 24-17 - Rocks (semi's)

1989 - 14-10 - Rocks (semi's)

1990 - 14- 0 - Rocks (semi's)

1994 - 21- 7 - Rocks (state, and my favorite )

1997 - 21-10 - Rocks (semi's)

2002 - 41- 3 - Rocks (region)

2003 - 49- 0 - Rocks (1st round)

2005 - 45- 0 - Rocks (region)

 

 

*The last three is under the current regime, what has changed? Mainly, our style.....

 

 

That style change also coincides with less talented Boone teams. The mid 80s to the late 90s were Boone's best teams, with above average offensive and defensive linemen. This Friday, Trinity will be bigger than Boone and, needless to say, quicker. That's tough to overcome.

For having such an elite program and the confidence to go along with it you Trinity fans seem to get overly sensitive about one or two posts. You've managed to reference two posts from an enormous thread nearly a year old to make case that "it's always the same thing." Everyone knows Trinity is good and they are going to most probably trounce Boone, but heaven forbid Boone fans express a little confidence in their team.

 

And don't go holding up one poster's opinion and acting like he speaks for everyone. One person made a fairly wild prediction but most non-T fans would agree that Vince is an incredible athlete.

I agree completely, and I'm glad you said that. All of the Rock fans that I've met in person have been very gracious and respectful of other teams. :thumb:

fballstud06: I believe if Ryle plays the way they did tonight, Trinity will have their hands full. Anyone picking a blow out in this game has no football sense. Ryle's Physical style vs. Trinity's finesse.

OldRaider22: First, for all you Rock fans out there, I can tell you that this team is much better than those teams that you have "taken behind the woodshed" in recent years. We'll see just how far NKY football has come.

IamaFan: I got sick of reading the "Ryle is no Big III" and "Ryle by 21" because that's all garbage. This is the best 4A team from Northern KY since Boone 94'. That team didn't pass at all period and this team does. Ryle is big, fast, very tough, and has about 6 kids that just make plays. Then they have Murray who is phenomenal. They also have a very good coaching staff and they're on a roll.

 

luvthemraiders: This will be a very good game between two very good teams to the surprise of most people outside of Union.
