I'm guessing that you watched the LexCath film. Not a real good indicator if HHS can play a pound the ball, grind it out game on the defensive side of the ball, IMO. Offensively, there's no doubt that they'll pound it.

 

However, Ryle tried to pound it, CCH tried to pound it (twice), Scott tried to pound it...etc. While Scott isn't necessarily a powerhouse the other two teams were pretty good football teams and they didn't have much success.

I am still trying to figure out who came up with the notion that HHS is not physical. I hope for the safety of those kids at LC that they are not thinking the same thing. I truly hope that they are practicing with pads and preparing to get hit on Friday. I believe that there will be plenty of contact and "physical" play on Friday. I just hope that if and when the game begins that it is played with the sportsmanship that has been exuded in the past 3 contests at HHS. Never seen more sportsmanship than I did from those games.

IMO if Lincoln takes it to HHS this will be a winable game. They do not like to play physical football.

I know one too. Maybe they aren't the same one. That would make two upset Birds that could cause a rage in the cage on Friday night. I almost feel sorry for those boys. They weren't even the ones that said it and yet, they will have to pay for it.

Highlands may be too much for Lincoln, from a talent and numbers standpoint. But, I guarantee Lincoln will not quit. Lincoln only plays around 18 players both ways

 

They will probably get a little tired. This is a pre-Letcher game article from last week.

He said LC. It took the 'Birds 3 quarters to get going against them.

The word is out. The Birds are pretty upset that someone is saying that they are not a physical team. Uh Oh! It is safe to say that there will be some hard hits this coming Friday. I wish we could skip the next 5 days and get to Friday quicker. I can't wait to see this game.
