I am trying to work the khsaa playoff matrix. Looking for help from experts from Highlands and/or Cov. Cath. As I see it, if Highlands wins next Friday, as the #1 seed in the 5th region/5th district- Highlands would host the winner of Clay County vs. Letcher County Central. If Cov. Cath wins, as the #3 seed in the 5th region/5th district they would travel if Letcher County Central (#1 seed in 5th region/8th district) wins. Cov. Cath would play at home if Clay County (#3 seed in the 5th region/8th district.) wins. Am I reading the grid correctly???

Highlands will be pumped up more than ever and even though CCH will be a formidable opponent they wont be able to stop the speed of Highlands. I think this one comes down to who takes care of the ball. If Highlands fumbles the ball like they did in their last meeting it will give CCH hope and thats all they need to pull off an upset.

 

Take care of the ball Birds, don't play tight and issue a payback for last year's early exit.

How is the Birds' passing game? How does it compare to Dixie's?

Covington Catholic is not the same team Highlands played in the first match up. Just ask Dixie. They exercise some revenge on their march back to Papa Johns. Covington Catholic 28 - Highlands 14.

The Colonels are starting to look like a very good football team.

Now that I have said that Highlands is a very good football team and has been from day one. I believe the bluebirds have way more fire power even with Buckley back for CCH.
