I don't care how bad your season is going and what your record is because a tradition like Notre Dame should never even be close with a team like Navy. ND has the top recruiting class in 2008. Had the #8 class in 07, #6 class in 06.

I'm sorry but what did you guys expect. They weren't all that good with Brady Quinn and company, so naturally they were going to be aweful this year. No Weis deserves another year, I remember when he was hired, Notre Dame was projected to lose its first 6 games, which they only lost 1 of I believe. Right now, the older players on the team are the last of Willinghams pathetic recruits, and Weis' youngsters are simply too young to be effective. Yes, their offense is horrible, but look at what they lost, it's hard to reload with a barren roster using a prostyle offense. If they ran a college offense like say the option or run and shoot, they might have more success. But, leave Weis there a few more years and they will be tough, one thing we know is he can recruit and tutor QB's, even though it didn't show with Clausen. What coach would have more than 3 or 4 wins with that pathetic roster??

So last year, it was Weis who made ND a marquee team and the darling of the media, but this year they are Willingham's leftovers....I can't see it both ways.

ND has too much money tied up in Weiis to fire him. He'll be back next year. This game has just made me plain sick. Not only did a 43 year record go down, UK now probably holds the longest losing record to TN in the nation. Weiis was a punk to that girl I noticed as well. He knows he has a storied program spiralling downward.

Weis is a moron. He had the ball on the 25 yard line in a tie game with 40 seconds left in the 4th quarter. It was 4th and 7-8. What does he do? He goes for it and the QB gets sacked. Even Dave Wannstedt woudl've had enough sense to attempt the FG in that situation.

Congrats to N.Dame team and staff for allowing the streak to end. Keep up the great work.

I root for the Irish but I've obviously grown numb with them this year and its really no big deal one one way or the other. I think they've been overhyped for quite a while but I still root for them.

 

With that said, I'm a big service academy football guy so this is a great day. Hats off to the Midshipmen.
