Cardinal Mooney, OH 57 Covington Catholic 0
What an embarrassment to the program. Your team gets invited to play in a big time game and you get beat 57-0. Does coach Brossart have a clue over there? Wow! I know most on here think it only matters what you do in Kentucky. But I was under the impression that Covington Catholic was a big time Kentucky powerhouse and to get beat like that is just unacceptable. I can get losing the game but playing with pride like they usually do against Ohio schools but wow.

"Lex Cath is too much. Cov Cath will be fine in Northern Kentucky this year, but thats about it." Some people say the funniest things. Nice job Colonels! Not bad for a team who will do fine in NKY and that's about it. Man, I love that quote from the previous thread.

St. X is ranked 7th in Max Preps. Sorry if anyone thought I meant USA Today polls. They are a great team though, but I have seen a major difference in high school football since moving to Ohio. I am not trying to offend anyone and I love watching high school sports in the commonwealth. Good luck Colonels next week!!!!

Great effort by the Colonels! St. X turned it on in the 2nd half. St. X is not the 7th best team in the country. But, great team and a great game!

CovCath 38 St. Charles (OH) 13
I was at the game tonight and a great win for the Colonels but St. Charles is pretty bad. The whole atmosphere was pretty sad to be honest. It was a great facility, but it was Senior night and I felt like I was at a funeral. I heard tonight that St. Charles has 650 boys, but i would guess there was about 650 people from both teams in the stands. Whatever happen to loading the buses with the students or get a big caravan COLONELS? Anyways, I was impressed with the Defense and with the Buckley and Furnish. I thought Isner was okay, I really haven't kept up with the team this year as much as in the past but did he hurt is arm? It just seem like he didn't have much of an arm. Overall, I was happy to see the Colonels in Columbus. Living in Columbus, makes it tough to see alot of the games but it was great to see the blue and white again. Hopefully, they will continue on and make some noise in the playoffs! Go Colonels!!!

CovCath at Columbus (Ohio) St. Charles - Predictions
Well St. Charles is a pretty decent football team. Since the Colonels have lost to both Bishop Watterson and Columbus Desales in the past, I could see this game as an opportunity to beat an Ohio football team. Does anyone down there care about this game? I attended Convington Catholic and was hoping to show some friends what the Colonels tradition is all about. I have lived in Columbus about 4 years and I am pumped to see the Colonels coming to town. St. Charles is having a year similar to Cov. Cath. which is pretty average and I really see the Colonels winning this game! Please come to Columbus and makes some noise.
