9th Region Title Game: CCH vs Ryle

Featured Replies

If you're a baseball fan, you're thrilled for tonight's matchup.

Two keys:

Senior pitching for Ryle vs rookies for CCH

Defense

On paper, the edge goes to Ryle.

Will Pat Roesel give the IBB to Maile like he did to Curley last season?

Can't wait.

Depends on the situation. But the last time we played we pitched him and I think he went hitless. Which is very rare for Mr. Maile.

I think most people figured early in the year this is where we were headed; should be a barn burner. I'll have to tune in online after I get back from an elementary graduation. I like Ryle's chances with their senior leadership but either team should represent the region very well.

I am looking forward to this game tonight. This is the kind of matchup where you get to bring your kids who may be playing at a youger level and say "this is what you need to work towards".The difference tonight will be who plays the best defensively. IMO Ryle will only pitch to Maile with no runners on base.

These really are the 2 best teams up here without question. I give Ryle an edge due to senior leadership and experience. I would think that all Ryle fans expect the Raiders to prevail. Can't speak for CC fans. Should be a great event.

No idea who Krumps will throw but he will have a committee ready if needed and would not surprise me to see 3-4 CC pitchers tonight. I expect to see Jeff Hatfield start for Ryle with Ryan Hughes ready in the pen. Hatty is the tall righty with a variety of pitches and Hughes is the lefty with pretty good stuff.

Mr. Maile, as good as he is for a soph, still has a little ways to go to get the respect Curley received as a senior. A great hitter, and awesome defensive catcher, but still needs to learn a little more patience at the plate. All in do time.

I thought maybe Weis vs Reis?

Weis threw against Ludlow. I was thinking Nutini/Isler vs Hatfield/Hughes...

True... he didn't throw alot of pitches and figured they may at least start the game with him. Both teams are pretty deep with good pitchers.

I think the CCH side is probably correct with Neihaus being in the mix as well. The only 2 pitches who will NOT pitch tonight if needed are Bleser and Sainola.

I have to give the nod to Ryle in this. Pitching wins games and I just feel they will have more depth and experience on the mound tonight.

But then again I could be wrong. CCH has a very fine program and seems to always find a way to win.

One thing's for sure, this will be the best match up in the state in a regional final and IMO two of the most classiest programs, coaches and players. Good luck to all of the seniors tonight.

I agree with you 100%....still rooting for the boys in blue, but it will be an uphill battle! Good luck to All!
