Don't be supprised to see Weis, with the way he threw his last outting. He only threw 67 pitches in 5 innings. He may get the start.

I don't know who's who? I just know I've seen three or four kids who all look Really strong on the mound! Is Weis the best of the group? Did he throw the Ludlow game?

For the record, I think it should be 4 innings=1 day, 5 innings=2 days, 6-7 innings=3 days....

I know it has nothing to do with this thread but 67 pitches in 5 is a rarity. Optimum efficiency is 60 pitches in 5 innings. Considering most schools don't allow their kids to get to 100 I think that merits 2 days worth of rest. Also, I hate basing it on innings because that really doesn't mean anything. I understand it's easier to track for everyone involved but to me, it's a meaningless #. That same kid could throw 90 pitches in 5 innings and come back after a days rest. $.02

Weis pitched the Ludlow game... It is definitely correct in saying each pitcher differs inthe amount of rest they need from start to start. I was at that game on Monday and he surely didn't labor so I feel he would be available tonight.

Weiss will not pitch tonight. Ryle has Hatfield and Hughes as well as Layne, Sheehy, and several others who have really not even seen much of the mound this year. They're in very good shape on the mound, as is CovCath by the way.

As I said earlier in the thread they both are deep at pitcher. This should really be fun... I wish it was game time now!

I agree on pitches thrown vs. innings pitched. However, as you know, its too easy to manipulate and too hard to track by the KHSAA.

Does Ryle have one "standout" pitcher? I know they have a quite a few in the top 20 in wins, but does one stand head and shoulders above the rest?

CovCath does in Blesser, but he can't pitch tonight. I'd look to see Isler, Nutini, and Niehaus pitching tonight, and not in that order.

Not really one standout but four guys with around the same amount of wins,

( 8 ) and all throw diffrently. Also have several relivers with a few nice saves.

The only pitcher Roesel will not use tonight is Collins, who threw last night.

I would like to see Hatfield get the start but it could be Hughes or Weiss and I am fine with that too.

One would think that the order would be Hatfield, Hughes, Weiss. Hatfield/Hughes may be interchangeable but if there's not a huge advantage in throwing Weiss over the other two, not sure why you'd run him out there if you don't have to...

Is Hatfield the lanky kid with the breaking ball that pitched against BW in last year's finals?

yes...he relived Humphrey. His last outing was the 9 inning game against Highlands.
