So... How 'bout USF's kicker?

Here is the bottom line. Only a very good team goes to Auburn, plays like crap and walks away with a victory.

If the SEC is put on the pedestal we always see here, there is NO WAY USF wins this game.

USF won and the SEC homers have to take the heat. You aren't in that group, but you are now in the crossfire...

Has the fire department shown up and put your mattress out yet???

The sky isn't falling, the SEC still sits at the top...

Fell asleep during the 3rd quarter...

Nice win for the Bulls.

I can't figure Auburn out, they have stubbed their toe the last few years at home to teams they should beat. Georgia Tech last year and now USF.

Their offense is bad.

They should have been beaten by K State.

USF should be in the top 25.

My spin is Auburn is no factor in the SEC...

Now Auburn is disowned by the SEC faithful:

"Auburn, you're dead to me now."

^^^Everyone on earth knows the SEC is the best conference except Big East fans, who are newcomers to NCAA football...compete with the SEC week in and week out and you will figure it out...

But no, the Big East will only play a couple games a year against the SEC, and set a bunch of mattresses on fire when they win one every now and then...

USF over Auburn doesn't mean a lot for those who follow football every week...they beat UL and WVU the past couple years and it wasn't a big deal...when they beat a UF or LSU or anyone else at the top of the SEC I will be impressed...but it won't happen...

That's probably because UF or LSU won't give a decent team from the Big East a game. I'm sure Louisville would've loved to set up a home and home with either team this season, as would WVU. Let's see, where's that chicken smilie...

I think everybody felt like Auburn would be down this year so it's not a real shocker IMO. Great win for the SF program though!

We probably agree on who the most impressive team in the Big East was this week...
I'm more impressed by Cincy. We (Big East Fans) knew South Florida could do this, we weren't sure about Cincy.

It is a redeeming win for Big East fans. Not all, but many SEC fans like to throw around comments like "Any of the top 6 SEC teams would go undefeated in a BigEast schedule" We disagree and this type of win proves it.

I can confidantly point to five teams in an 8 team league that are proven competition. If you win the Big East this year, you've earned it, it would be a challenge for any team in America to win the Big East, and probably moreso than the Big 10, Big 12, or ACC. The Big East programs are not as big as others in the nation but the quality is right up there with the rest of them.

Nah. Auburn is not indicative of a good SEC team. ;):D

Oh no, Auburn ain't no GOOD!!

Yep, that seems to be the general consensus of the SEC fans on this board. I wonder if that's what they are saying on the Florida and LSU boards, surely not since AU beat both of them on this same field less than 12 months ago.

Auburn your 15 minutes of fame are up. Sorry, once you lose to a Big East team, you ain't Shhhi!!!!!!!!!!!!!tttttt.

Fun fact: BE is 54-10 in last 64 OOC games and 6-0 vs SEC since 2004

I see I missed the fun of a lot of discussion and spin, but IMO it boils down to this:

Neither team really deserved to win the game. Auburn turned the ball over 5 times in regulation and USF scored zero, count 'em, zero points off of those turnovers. They additionally missed a staggering 4 field goals attempted.

But in the end there is one indisputable fact: South Florida defeated a top 20 SEC team on the road.

It's getting to the point where it's not even worth going into an SEC thread anymore. Is the SEC the best conference? Probably. But geez guys it is ridiculous.

USF has a terrible FG Kicker

Auburn has a terrible QB

Good win for USF:thumb:

I guess Auburn will be getting their SEC release papers soon...
