USF 26 Auburn 23 OT

Featured Replies

Why are they unranked?

Because they were beaten by a USF team THE VOTERS don't feel is a top 25 team.

I don't get the joke.

The same voters that thought UM was #5 to start the season? The same voters that felt Auburn was Top 20? Those voters? Insert joke __________...

A road win at a then ranked "mighty" SEC opponent. You guys turning on Auburn is CLASSIC...

So we're supposed to claim that Auburn is still great? Obviously things change from preseason. They showed on the field they're not that great.

I really don't get it. If USF not being ranked is a joke, then App State not being ranked is a travesty. They beat a MUCH higher ranked team on the road without need OT to do it.

USF is knocking on the door, and if they continue to play well, they'll earn their way into the rankings.

If they would have opened the vote for Appy the week it happened they would be ranked right now. The big win over Leann Rimes this week wasn't as sexy...

Because all of the SEC homers are now saying that Auburn lost because they aren't any good. It couldn't possibly be because USF IS that good...

No way. Can't be. Blasphemy....

Maybe, but all the AP and Coach's Poll voters feel the same way.

Based off of one game. They also felt Michigan was a a top 5 team. While I think that USF should be ranked, they are only a few points away anyways and I really don't care about the polls until BCS discussion comes around which is why I too think that there shouldn't be any polls until 4 weeks into the season.

USF is good; in fact, I think the 3rd best in their conference (I'll let you guys figure out who's 4th). Right now, Auburn seems to be a middle of the road SEC team, as they should be 0-2 right now. Their tradition got them ranked so highly.

Believe it or not, SEC teams are gonna lose some games this year. Does that make it a lesser conference? Maybe. Is it still the strongest conference in America? Probably. There are arguments both ways. But if you look at the coaches, fanbases, and most importantly, the personell on SEC teams' rosters, you're going to have a tough time selling an argument to me that it's not he best.

I agree with most of what you said, but like I said before, nobody here is saying that the SEC isn't the best conference, we're just merely trying to point of the fallacies with the arguments of the all mighty SEC homers.

Wait until LSU or Florida get knocked off by Auburn. Then we'll hear about how much of a buzz saw the SEC is!

Hats off to USF. They got a huge win. I believe Auburn is a middle of the pack SEC team this year. Their offense has really struggled thus far. But it is a big win over an SEC team on the road.

Exactly.

Exactly.

I remember hearing the same when the SEC Champ lost to WVU in a BCS Bowl. At least you guys are consistent... :walk:
