As far as I'm concernd this is the game. Dixie will be ready to bring Highlands down. This is a District game and Dixie wants to show the Birds what it is to play with the big boys in a District battle. However, I think the Birds are more than ready and know that in order to reach their goal they must bring down Dixie. The Birds win this one but I believe it will be more of a battle than most are saying.

Well, it seem's like we already have the winner. No need to play anymore game's.

Speaking of district battles, does anyone other than me feel odd at playing two district games in week 3 and 4? I don't know that this game is a do or die for Dixie this year. These two team WILL play each other again in the playoffs. that is the game that counts, this is just a warmup. With that said, I picked Dixie to win.

 

BTW - And what is the "Dale is mad!" thing all about? If he gets mad at what a reporter chooses to print of what a high school kid told him after a huge personal performance and team win over arch rival CCH he's an idiot. I don't take Dale for an idiot.

I see this same type of thing year in and year out, week after week, and to tell you the truth most of the time you guys are right.:thumb: Highlands has a great program and quality players year in and out. It's nice to be back in the district with the Birds and CCH again. Dixie will hold there own against the birds, whether its enough or not remains to be seen. I have full confidence in the Colonels. We have more than enough speed, we have more than enough size, and we have more than enough experience. It will be an evenly matched game to say the least.

We went onto Dixie's field a few years ago, confident of a win; and we didn't get one. I'll never forget the Dixie players celebrating out front like they'd just won the Super Bowl. I think we'll win; but nothing can be taken for granted.

I totally agree with you about the schedule. I don't like it, nope I don't like it one bit. The last games of the season are now the filler games. HHS goes to Richmond and the Ville to play games that other than a W mean nothing. I am guessing the importance of Fri's game would be securing home field in the playoffs. I am assuming that it is still the same where the dist winner gets the home field?
