In Kentucky's new class system, the large school classification (6A) has 36 teams in it and 32 of them make the playoffs.

A JOKE!

What about Indiana allowing all teams to make the playoffs?

They play football in Indiana?
St. Xavier actually dresses around 180 kids for Varsity. Only 2 of those 180 are not a Jr. or a Sr. The rest are all upperclassmen.

Tell me you're joking. :scared:

I was interested in your comment about dressing 180 so I looked on their website:

http://www.stxavier.org/s/106/stxavier.aspx?sid=106&gid=1&pgid=1180

Cincinnati St. Xavier lists 69 seniors, 65 juniors, and 4 sophomores on their roster. Obviously a lot of duplicate numbers. That totals 138 players.

Are you saying there are actually 50 more than that?

The last time Trinity was so lightly regarded in a BGP poll, they won, 14-6. It would be great if another victory was in the offing this time around.

Wish I could attend....I have a feeling the Rocks are going to pull a huge upset.

Whether it is 180 or 138 is immaterial. It is shocking and scary that they have 69 seniors and 65 juniors on their varsity.

How many varsity teams in Kentucky have 69 players total on their squad? My guess is very few.

X this year is a different beast than anyone has played.

If Trinity has no shot (as many on here seem to be selling as Bible truth) then why should they even bother going?

I want to pick Trinity, but Trinity is traditionally not at its best this early. IF this were the final regular season game it would be different....Cincy X by 14.

Maybe they shouldn't go to Papa Johns either in 2 weeks!!

That's true. We'll just show up in 12 weeks. :sssh:

Strongopenyon is correct. I got my 138 vs. 178 cnfused.

They have 140 kids, not 180, on the roster and all but 2 are upperclassmen so yes, there are 69 seniors and 65 juniors on the team.

Their entire football program encompasses around 300 kids. :creepy:

This is a big part of the reason why I contend that St. Xavier will grow to be nearly unbeatable over the next 3-5 years. It is a miracle that a school Colerain's size can compete with a school like St. X.
