I dont agree with that statment at all. He was actually really good for most of his time at UK in devolping guys. Alot of you all just look at that 03 class with Woo, Shag, Thomas and see that they never did much, but it was just more because of that they were not good basketball players and not much to do with Tubby develping talent. There were more players that got better every year under Tubby than players that did not. Actually Tubby's ability to develop talent might have been what led to his departure here, because he ended up being so good at making decent talent into a very good team, that he started just going after guys like that, and then he ended up getting a class like the 03 class that you just couldn't make into a good team no matter what...

I hope Coach Billy G brings back the Kentucky basketball program. Getting to the Final 4 would be a very nice measure of success and direction the program is headed in..... But, What if it does not happen.....?????

Ah, young grasshopper, therein lies the difference between you and I. No final four for 5 years is doom and gloom for YOU. I appreciate the process, I enjoy watching the games in January from Starkville for two hours. I can take GREAT enjoyment from a season where the result is short of the Final 4. Them getting to the Final 4 just means that the sadness of their last loss of the season comes a week or two later than it has, or if I get really lucky, I get to enjoy a couple of days of joy in early April following yet another National Championship in my lifetime. Either way, how it ends certainly doesn't define the season for me. :thumb:

I do all of those things as well...but the object is to WIN...and there is a difference in us...if you don't even think you have a shot to make a run at all the marbles, it takes away from the process...

 

You are a CCH fan right? Which years do you enjoy the most, when you win it all or when you stink? Do you enjoy the golf process more when you are shooting a crappy round or when you shoot par???

In looking at how the votes go it is no surprise at who voted Kentucky would not make it. It was mostly people who do not like Kentucky like Gametime, NCCalcum98, pldgreatno2, RockPride, TheDeuce just to name the main people who do not like UK.

 

I think that the team will have an excellent chance in 2009-10. You will have:

Derrick Jasper

Alex Legion

GJ Villarino

Ramon Harris

 

And between now and then I am confident that Gillispie will get a couple a couple more quality interior players and hopefully Darius Miller.

Also, I believe Meeks will stay 4 years and Patterson is a 3 year guy atleast.
