February 26, 200719 yr Tubby will be there for at least another year. I'm waiting for the "vote of confidence".
February 26, 200719 yr Who is D'anton Not much of a basketball fan are we..... He is the head coach of the Phoenix Suns, and his team has a run n' gun style offense that makes the one UK used under Pitino like for lack of a better term, "Tubby ball".
February 26, 200719 yr ....:scared: Well known at UK, Marshall and Phoenix. What is the connection to UK? I know he played basketball at Marshall, but other than that what is his connection to the college level?
February 26, 200719 yr This would be interesting. But, the "best job in the country"? Its a great job, but the fans are ruthless.
February 26, 200719 yr What is the connection to UK? I know he played basketball at Marshall, but other than that what is his connection to the college level?Rex Chapman and played in the ABA, against the KY Colonels....Known around the UK area. Here is a link, to Bio. Mike Dantoni bio
February 26, 200719 yr This would revive UK nation, D'Antoni is a great coach and I love his style. I would love to see this and I'm not even a UK fan.
February 26, 200719 yr So people will be happy when we give up 85-90 a game and end up lossing early in the tourney like the Suns do every year because they can't play any D. But who cares it will be exciting to watch.

But who cares it will be exciting to watch. We could settle for losing 3 of 4 in the SEC with a team that is about as exciting as watching paint dry! It's OK though because we are all just bashers. No reason to be upset that KY has lowered their standards. Give me a team that scores that much everyday! News flash.... when you score like that YOU GET ATHLETES!!!!!! Jimmy's and Joe's ya know! Let's see boring lazy team that loses or fast paced athletes that have a shot at winning or losing......
February 26, 200719 yr It would be a huge hire, but one with a lot of risk involved. Bring in the wrong PG and it's struggle city in that system. Would be very interesting...I think it would be an amazing hire. IMO PG's would be lining up to play for him.
