SouthernSportsFan Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 It was talked about on an XM ESPN sports show and is a rumor that D'antoni would leave Phoenix for what they called "the best job in America" next season. Of course, this is a "rumor" and I have no idea if it has any truth, but they sounded like as if it were a deal. If that were to happen, can you imagine the recruits that would line up to play for an NBA coach that could have them ready for the next level.. and the style of ball he plays?
The Breeze Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 That would be a big change for the Big Blue country.
SouthernSportsFan Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 I can't really see it happening, but wow.. what if it did..
gametime Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 It would be a huge hire, but one with a lot of risk involved. Bring in the wrong PG and it's struggle city in that system. Would be very interesting...

Now did they say the "best job in America" or did they mention UK specifically?
SouthernSportsFan Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 Apparently, D'antoni thinks that UK is the best job in America.
SouthernSportsFan Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 Can he bring Steve Nash with him? Can you imagine...
MSUEagles Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 The recruits would line up to play that style in college!
C-A-T-S Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Man if this is true...WATCH OUT were in for a ride...
SouthernSportsFan Posted February 26, 2007 Author Posted February 26, 2007 Minus his style and recruiting ability, would he be a good college coach? Maybe he would, because if you can bring in the talent, you can win.
halfback20 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I wish it would happen...but for some reason I think we're stucky with ole Tubby for little while longer.
STRIKE3 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Who is D'anton....:scared: Well known at UK, Marshall and Phoenix.
