Really interesting and entertaining game. Looking forward to watching both these teams this year. I'll need a few more games though to learn names and who these guys are.

Turnovers were the difference, and not just the number, but the type.  Kentucky had 14 turnovers, and 11 of those were steals by Louisville.  Louisville only had 6 turnovers, 4 on Kentucky steals.  A difference in 7 live-ball turnovers is huge in a game between two fairly equal teams.  The result is much how I thought it would be with this matchup being this early in the season.  If it had been at Rupp, I suspect it would have played out the opposite with Kentucky coming out on top in a close game.  How it might work out in March, on a neutral site, who knows.  Too many unknowns and variables between now and then.  I'm just glad this is a rivalry again.  Neither one of these programs should be good enough to win 13 out of 17 like UK had done before tonight.  

This game will play out much differently come March... and you know they'll end up in the same bracket.

Turnovers was huge. However, when you get down by 20 and trying to make a big comeback. You can’t miss the front end of two one and ones like UK did once they got themselves back in it. 

I know UK missed some free throws down the stretch, but if the Cards hadn't gone cold from the line late it wouldn't have mattered. I'm sure Louisville fans were just as upset with their free throws in the last several minutes.

I hate to say it, but this was true in last night’s game. Oweh and Lowe showed no “dawg” in them when the game was on the line. The Louisville guards did. 

Fun game to watch and see the final few minutes, both teams will have solid years. Felt like this state needed to see a U of L win and we did. Cats gotta be better from the ft line and also need to hit open shots more.

Kentucky shot 75% (12-16) from the foul line last night. In 1996, Mark Pope's senior season, with Rick Pitino coaching, considered one of the best teams in college basketball history, Kentucky shot 71% from the line on the season. There's quite a few things to complain about with UK, but there's no need to get hyperbolic!
