Agree.  The Sporting Times out of Bowling Green has strong sponsorship support and now has 3 crews they roll out each week now to cover 3 local game (for that area) now.  It's really nice.

Like Highschool ESPN for South Central KY football.

I'm not surprised being the great HS supporter you are.

My Pet Peeve #1: Maybe not football fans, but when the bleachers are full until after the halftime show and you realize that at least half of the crowd was there to support the band and then as the 3rd quarter starts you are one of the few still remaining that are actually interested in the football game.

My Pet Peeve #2: The later you get into the season and the colder it gets, the less fans you see at games. Man up and support your Teams!

1.) Not knowing the rules

2.) Not knowing rule differences from Friday and Sunday

3.) Not understanding strategy. (Just because the forward pass is legal it doesn't mean your team should throw many of them. Especially if they can't throw or catch.)

"Losing quickly" is a lost art. Plenty of teams who throw the ball a lot and lose by 50 could run the ball and lose by 21 just by getting about 7-8 first downs and flipping the field.

So the OP is COMPLAINING about COMPLAINERS?  J/K ?

I’ve never been with anyone that complained about black uni’s, I’ve never been with anyone that complained about Debit/Credit/Cash at a football game. - I have always known I needed cash.  I’ve never been around anyone complaining about how a transfer got eligible quickly (I have probably complained when a transfer wasn’t eligible more quickly though!) I’ve honestly never been around anyone complaining that football should be the way we used to do it.  I do LOVE streaming as I live in a different city than where I grew up.  It is the way of the future, but if I’m in Owensboro on a Friday late summer/early fall night - I will try to catch the game.

None of these really bother me even if someone complained about them, but I’m sure @MBKT HAS heard these, he’s been around for a while.  If others did complain I would probably be ignoring them and watching the game.  To each their own - good discussion post!

I agree that live streaming is great for some.  My daughters are away at college, and they want to watch their brother.  One of them is in Tanzania for a study abroad, so if there is a live streaming option then she gets to watch.

Tanzania???  That’s no excuse!!!

Big difference between Friday and Saturday too.

I have mixed feelings about the livestreams. I completely appreciate having them and almost every broadcast is satisfactory to me with quality. I do worry about funds being allocated to the school that they are missing out on. I know that should be the farthest thing from our minds, but I think it does have a great effect. We had a rivalry game recently that between the two livestream's had nearly 16k views. I know that not everyone would have went to the games, but I do know that there were about 3,000 in attendance, that to me leaves so much money on the table for the schools. Imagine gate money at $15,000 vs $45,000 if everyone came and tickets were $5/each. I know not everyone would be able to come and I don't want sit here and complain that technology really is making our experiences better, I also think there are more football fans now than ever. I do think its sad when the stands aren't nearly full and there are so many people watching from home, even on good weather nights. I don't know what the fix is, I don't want to blame the livestreams, I do want to make the crowd more exciting.

I use to be against live streams but the benefits outweigh not having them which the only reason I can think is attendance. I use them to be able to watch other teams and not everyone is able to come to the games or travel. For example last year Tilghman streams would see between 1.8k -3k viewers. During the playoffs those views would jump almost 2 thousand viewers each round. (my guess is more fans that aren't watching their team because they are out of the playoffs) The Corbin game had 25k views which I would assume with Corbin’s fan base about half of the viewers were Corbin’s fans that couldn’t make that 5hour drive.

I only have one.

People that seem to think a HS football game has 22 world class athletes on the field and chastise kids for not making a play.  Let the coaches coach them on the mental errors and remember that none of them is Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders or Tom Brady.   Bad plays will happen.  Not need to blast a kid over it.

Yes. “Catch the ball!” And “block somebody!” Are unbearable.

Screaming this from the mountain tops! Not all schools have the depth of the blue bloods. In some cases the best 11 ARE out on the field they just might not match up well with a bigger faster stronger kid. Talent is cyclical in most schools outside of the usual suspects. No need to blast a kid, and sometimes understand some of the best coaching is going on at losing programs where these volunteers are doing the best they can with they got (facilities, equipment, admin support, etc.)

LOL!  What about “Watch the BALL!!”  When the dad is trying to coach from the stands so no one jumps offsides…
