Talked to a Penn State season ticket holder and donor. He is connected to some insiders there. I said the first call should be to Brohm and he agreed, but quickly told me that they know he has no interest in leaving U of L. The only job I could see him leaving for would be HC of the Dolphins because that job is going to be open.

Oh I think he will get plenty of calls over the years, and his name will be floated often especially if Louisville continues to be consistently relevant. I honestly believe there's not a single college job he would leave Louisville for. 

Any word out of Tallahassee? It is being report they were meeting this afternoon.

Napier kind of shocked me at this point.  I figured he was gone, but not until December.

Not that I've seen and I've been watching.

Somehow I missed that Stanford fired their coach in the spring and has a one year interim coach as they complete a national search for a new coach.

That's probably pretty accurate. 

People forget that before Spurrier Florida was really not that great of a team.  The Spurrier years of the 1990s/early 2000s elevated the Gators and only Urban Meyer has come close as coach to meet/exceed it.  They've had a list of mediocre hires, even though I think they gave up on Dan Mullen way too quickly.

I guess beating lowly Mississippi State by only two was the last straw. 

LSU made a mistake hiring Brian Kelly. He is overrated as a coach. He has a huge inflated ego as well. 

LSU can get back to its winning ways without Kelly and the right coach. Where does James Franklin land?

Alex Golesh's name is being bantered about. If USF wins this weekend at Memphis, he may get more talk.

USF may match any offer, though. They've committed to this sports as a business concept by changing the Athletic Directors position to the CEO of Athletics and giving Rob Higgins a hefty budget to work with. With a new on-campus stadium (2027) and NIL money, CAG may be hard pressed to move with matching funds.
