No matter what he said, it could never top Ed Ogeron when LSU let him go but agreed to the $17 million buyout....."you want me to leave out the front door or the back door"lol.

I would think that is a common problem everywhere. I believe he brought in 70 new players including HS recruits. That's a heckuva chunk of a 115 man roster.

UAB had fired Trent Dilfer...to be fair, I didn't know he was even a head coach. 

Oregon State has fired their coach Trent Bray today also.

LOL! Saw today where Stoops name was mentioned for the VA Tech job! Was on one of their sites. 

IU locking up their guy before a bidding war breaks out for him.

You didn't miss much.  He was a dumpster fire.  Kinda hate it, though, because picking against UAB was becoming automatic for me due to his poor coaching.  Now that moniker moves to UMass, who I think is the worst program in FBS football.

Ha, part of me wonders if Stoops' team is leaking this in hopes it makes UK fans want to keep him or something.  If so, sorely mistaken.  I'm just sad Mike Leach isn't around anymore.  I really wanted that guy to return and coach UK one day but the stars/timing never aligned for it.

There are going to be a lot of big vacancies this off-season and some programs are probably going to find themselves next August wondering if they would've just been better off keeping the head coach that they fired.  There aren't enough quality coaches to go around and staff all of these openings.

The big winners will be the coaches and their agents, though, who will rack up big dollars and buyout clauses.

I keep hearing a lot of noise about Penn State going after Deion Sanders.
