I fully understand @bugatti thinking this but to me the teams are almost equal, albeit constituted differently. The X-factor for me is Lanier. He's scored in bunches against almost everyone this season but hasn't really done so against UK. Is that game plan or good luck? Maybe both? If he shoots the way he did against Wofford and UCLA, then that could be curtains for the Cats. I'm guessing Tennessee is saying something similar about Brea, though. Overall, I think this is a fascinating matchup that should come down to the wire.

I agree that the teams are pretty close, but there's nothing that sticks out to me that would make me think THIS is the time Tennessee wins. I would be extremely confident as a Cats fan.

Hey great news they just set the times for Friday night's games and the Kentucky and Tennessee tips at 7:39pm. Houston and Purdue tip at 10:09pm.

I think that the third time is the charm for the Wildcats. I think they win by a range of 5-10.

UT is a 4.5 point favorite.

It does seem to be a team UT doesn't match up well against. Same with the last couple of years, and that didn't make sense either.

I will be placing a hefty bet on the Cats.

This chart is pretty much exactly how I'd rank the top 12 programs in history, in some form within their tiers:

Tier One: Kentucky, UCLA, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas

Tier Two: Syracuse, Louisville, Michigan State, Indiana, Arizona, UConn, Villanova

This means my guy is nervous!

The closer it gets to this game the more I really see Kentucky handling Tennessee.  Tennessee just has too many scoring droughts not only game to game but within games to win this game.  This also leaves UK with a real shot at the next game on Sunday as Houston is very similar to Tennessee.
