Open Job: Boyle County

I've heard that Coach Gilbert who was at Green and Coach Breeze who was at Adair have both applied.

This is false Coach Breeze has not applied at Boyle and I talk to him on a daily basis. Boyle and a couple of others schools have reached out to him and asked him to come visit the schools and out of respect he went and met with them but elected to not apply and is planning to stay at Adair as of right now as a teacher.

There are a couple of jobs he would be interested in though if they ever opened but as of now they may not be in near future.

If a guy is too insecure to take the Boyle basketball job because of their football success, doubt he is a very good coach.  Mason County basketball made Mason County football much better. You ha

Both Solid Coaches. Breeze really worked well with football at Adair, even though Adair was typically not very good at football. His basketball players worked out during weightlifting except on gamedays I believe. That was the case a few years ago when I was more familiar anyways. Also knew a couple other names thrown around earlier, all would be great hires IMO. Hagen Tyler and Keith Adkins are both great, Keith Coached Hagen at Campbellsville also. Not sure of their relationship, Could both of them head to Boyle and coach together?

Adkins is a good coach.  Interesting he is looking to leave Mercer after two years and a trip this year to the region championship.

He is losing his two best players in Ellis and Preston.  There's less than 20 ppg of scoring coming back.  Maybe he figures that if he is going to leave now would be a good time.  But, I'm not sure that Boyle would be better than Mercer.  There have been some good players come through that program.

I think there is a coach to watch in the 13th region.  He is pretty close to Chain Rock from his current campus.

Josh Hamlin? Assistant Coach at South Laurel. Former Head Coach at Mercer County.

Surprised we haven't heard anything on this opening.

Maybe there’s no candidates?

Will be announced shortly, I would say this week.

Should be something coming in the next few days if not sooner.

There's always candidates.

It looks like Jamie Todd is the guy. Anyone know anything about him?

Appears to fit the description.  Younger guy, no head coaching experience but has assisted at the collegiate lower levels.  Rockcastle Co. native, so maybe someone like @RoCkMaN28 can provide some further details on Coach Todd.
