My money at this point would say an inside hire but the flip side if it is an inside hire you wasted a whole lot of time in this process.  The way this has been handled is going to make a lot of coaches question the administration decision making.

I have heard Will Barnes name for this job a couple times in the last week. I think we would get a good coach if it's him. I'm only speculating that it could be him, but again I do want to let @JD5692 know that this is a inside hire.

While I get the idea this is a slippery slope for a new coach.  Loyalty to the old coach and then being passed up for the new job are two factors to NOT retain too many old staff members.  They can undermine the new coach at every turn as they are much more familiar with the players to start with.

We are getting to 40 pages for sure. Remember when we thought 26 pages when we were on 13 pages was a huge feat. This might be  a Bluegrasspreps record. What's the record @theguru??

You are correct about this.  Figuring out who to trust and all the characters involved is one of the toughest parts being a new coach.

Most of the time a few of former staff will be needed however.

This one went 92 pages, December 1, 2020 - February 4, 2021. Three months to hire a coach doesn't seem too long now.

You would have to think it's in house at this point. If not, whoever put in for it that's running the weights right now will probably be gone if they didn't get it. 

Got pretty good intel that they have offered the job to Ganaway and he’s accepted it.  Sounds like announcement Friday. Excited to have a coach and get to work.  Could be a home run.  Could not work out like they want it to.  There’s only one way to find out.  But hopefully, all the speculation is behind these kids and they can band together.  
 

Feel like his WR will most definitely join him.  And I would think that would make the Apollo QB decision a difficult one.  But no matter what, there’s a lot to work with.  Hopefully, if what I’ve been told is correct, he can take all that and get off to a great start with his new gig.

I would think so.  But not sure.  My understanding was his wife was excited to come back to OWB.  Can’t imagine them leaving him behind.

I had also heard within the last few days that it was between Ganaway and Hall.   Hopefully some confirmation comes soon.

I think he will have to play QB. I don't see us getting anyone to come over and from the talks from Ty Ashley is not going to play QB. Why do we not play Eli Hampton? I get he's a OL now, but can we not play other linemen?
