The whole thing is really strange. It seems there was a number of highly qualified/experienced coaches that applied and/or interviewed. It would also seem the decision makers placed a premium on personality, opposed to experience, proven leadership, etc.

I’m waiting for them to announce his name. Now why haven’t we had some formal announcement?

Is the delay a financial issue? Is Owensboro trying to get more money from boosters to pay for the coach? I am thinking this could be a high dollar ticket and that is causing the delay. In general, I don't get caught up in hiring timelines. Everyone hopes it goes quick but if it takes a couple months to get the right person, so be it. We are now at two and half months on this one though, which is now making me wonder what the issue is.

Should have hire Will Barnes a month ago and been done.

I’d say more of placement issue than anything! If It’s DMarc and by all accounts it appears too look that way then you’ve gotta find him a job in the school system to finish the year out since he would obviously move here immediately!

Well a few things number 1 like I mentioned earlier they have to have a job ready for him in the school for the remainder of the year and I’m sure that’s taken some time to figure out! And number two I’m sure they would like to have some sort of announcement ceremony and if you’ve paid any attention he’s doing things with UA this weekend! Which I’m sure were previously scheduled! He’s the hire I’m certain on that heck kids have already started tagging him on social media post! At this point just be excited about the future of your program! Friday nights at Rash are about to be hype and I can only imagine the amount of new talent OHS is about to see come in!
