As an athlete that played both ways for three years, I can tell you by this time in the season playing you are a well conditioned machine. Fatigue will not be a factor at all. He gets a breather here and there. I have not seen his production drop late in games. In fact it's been the opposite. He's him, he's different.

Not sure who you played for, but if you're going against Trinity both ways, fatigue will 100% be a factor. This isn't you going against 220 pound guards and 175 pound linebackers...Sebastian Blue is a 6'3 245 pound defensive end who had 2 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. And 6'3 280 pound left tackle Nate Shields just put a 4-star DE in a box all night and rendered him pretty much ineffective. If you watched our game, it was drops and missed open receivers that stymied our offense and not pressure from FD.

  • IMO, there is no other team that progressively got better than Ryle from the start of the season until now.  I think they are ready for Trinity and match up well from a size perspective. As long

  • I know some of the neighbors around Ryle would be happy if the cannon left town. ?

  • My hands are freezing at the Christmas parade.  Wife is getting upset because I am on my phone and not paying attention to the grandkids and the parade, but the pick 5 contest just as important to me.

Kudos to Coach Engler for beefing up the schedule while building the program over the past 11 years. The Raiders no longer have to overcome the intimidation factor of facing the big 3 as in the past. They took their lumps vs St X the past 4-5 years while scheduling them annually. Then, they played a great game to whip X in the playoffs this year. Trinity will be the best defense that Ryle has faced this year. I see a dogfight that could go either way. Looking forward to the matchup at Kroger. Go Raiders, beat Rocks!

I tend to think the running clocks will work against Ryle. Conditioning is a major factor in this one and if you haven't played a real game in a while, that can sneak up on you. I have seen the Raiders-Tigers game and I know they are legit. Savage is maybe the best skill player in NKY, Verax can really play and the OL is a force. But when you're sitting for an entire half and that gas pedal eases up week after week, its hard to get game reps when your in the blender and know how to react.

It is something the very best coaches at all levels of the game pour over to try and combat.

Let's go Rocks!  Take care of business.

Ryle #2 in the state on Calpreps and Trinity #3. Looks to be very close game with both teams having good defenses. Could come down to a turnover, special teams, or a untimely penalty on a key play.

Played in the Florida heat, and up here in the north. We will just agree to disagree. You guys have built a great program but I think you are hyping up the name on the jersey a bit. I will match up our studs with yours 7 days a week, going both ways or not. Good luck to the Shamrocks. All the details will be settled on Saturday.

I can’t say that I’ve heard Rocks fans more nervous about a game, and it’s actually kind of refreshing not to be the one as nervous haha.  To have 2 contradicting arguments being the reason Ryle is going to have to work extra hard to beat Trinity is leaving me a little confused, though.  Are we not going to be game ready and conditioned from all the running clocks?  Or are we going to be too fatigued because of running too many 2 platoon players?  Which I believe is mainly skill players.  Other Raiders fans can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think our lines primarily play the one side.  Go Raiders!

As many have said I really like Ryle’s chances in this game. The biggest difference could be the experience factor of playing in this game. Trinity has been here and done that, while this will be the first state appearance for these Ryle kids. Don’t let the moment become to big, and make mistakes you normally wouldn’t make. I think if Ryle doesn’t turn the ball over, I think they will pull this one out.

I'm like most and think Ryle has the horses to do it, but for one game for all the marbles it's hard not to take Godzilla. I'm going to have to sit on this one for a few days.

This is the first time that Ryle matches up physically with T since I've been following Raider football. I know that T is extremely solid on D and the best D Ryle has faced. I would think it's a fairly low-scoring contest decided late.

Ryle is a team that has improved as the year has gone on. The guys that have been going both ways for Ryle have been doing it for a full season if not for two full seasons so I would say they’re conditioned to it. #21 and #0 for Ryle are elite players and will cause the Rocks offense and defense issues and the Ryle QB does a good job of keeping plays alive with his feet.

I’ll take Ryle to win 17-14.

Trinity was who I picked before the playoffs to win 6A. Nothing they have done since has caused me to change my mind.

Godzilla-24

Ryle-14

Like many others have stated, this is the year if Ryle is going to do it. Trinity is an AMAZING team, but they are not significantly more talented than Ryle. If Ryle can control their emotions and not have uncharacteristic mistakes or turnovers then they will have a shot!

This is pretty much how I’m leaning. Discipline and playing cleanly is going to be the important factors. I don’t see this being a high scoring game either.
