Both defenses look very good. I don’t see this being high scoring. If Ryle is able to limit the big plays defensively and limit mistakes on special teams I see the path!

  • I know some of the neighbors around Ryle would be happy if the cannon left town. ?

  • My hands are freezing at the Christmas parade.  Wife is getting upset because I am on my phone and not paying attention to the grandkids and the parade, but the pick 5 contest just as important to me.

Trinity goes back to back. I have seen nothing on film to think any different.  Trinity will be able to stop Ryles run game, and keep the scoring low.  Trinity is super young on offense, but has done enough each game to get to this point.  Ryle's 4-2-5 defense and secondary style leans toward Johnson having a big game! Rocks by 17.

I think they are ready for Trinity and match up well from a size perspective. As long as they don’t get caught up in the “mystique” of the letter “T” and settle in and play their game, I firmly believe they pull off this upset. Hoping Savage is 100% healthy because he WILL be a game changer.

Pulling for all of the NKY teams!

I am hoping Ryle can squeeze Trinity into their schedule in 2027. You replaced DeSales with CAL.  I understand the desire to play Cov Cath, but Conner? Dixie Heights? Cooper has grown into a nice 5A team that presents challenges. Highlands is another local team with a storied history. The Raiders have now played St. Xavier of Louisville for 4 years in the regular season. I'd prefer a drive to Union over Indianapolis. I feel strongly the new AD at Trinity would entertain a home and home series in football. Something to ponder as we anticipate the forthcoming titanic struggle at Kroger Field.

Along those lines, Trinity and Ryle have only faced off in the playoffs. I recall Ryle allowing Trinity to score late in the 1999 game at old Trinity Stadium. The Raiders then drove the field and made the two point conversion to force OT.  The game ended in Trinity's favor 32-26 after two overtime periods. The mud, the grass, the sand....the good ole days.

Will the KHSAA allow Ryle to bring the cannon? Will UK? I hope so. See you all at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

I’ve been on the Ryle bandwagon all year and I’m not changing now. Go Raiders! The Rocks offense has been unimpressive all year and the strength of Ryle is their defense. The Raiders will find a way to cross the goal line a few times and win this one, should be a very low scoring game.

Ryle 21 Rocks 7

I’ve had the opportunity to watch Ryle’s players since they were 1st & 2nd graders, these young men have been winners their entire football career.

Best of Luck to the Ryle Raiders and bring back to NKY a State Championship.

Trinity 17-14.

Cannon will be sending them off of Ryle's campus but from my understanding will not be heading to Lexington.

let's go Raiders! It will be a great game.

How many D1 players does Trinity have this year?

I might be speaking out of school, but Conner and Ryle are both in the Boone County Public Schools system. Much like Frederick Douglass had to do with the Fayette County Schools, maybe Ryle and Conner have to play? And even if they don't, I'd imagine it is a big gate and a community rivalry.

I believe you are correct. They don't have to play, but they play just about every year. They may have played every year since Ryle has been open, but I do not know for sure

TP94 Power Ratings from last week:

Ryle 96.12
Trinity 94.39
