My current feelings: That was tough to say the least.  I knew going into the game Highlands was going to have to be flawless on both sides of the ball or at least close to it.  When you

  • Not only the talent, but the multiple solid football programs of all ages developing that talent.

  • Dang, Highlands got curb stomped in the second half!

If there was a “they are who we thought they were” type statement, Cooper showed that tonight. The Jaguars might have made their biggest statement of the season tonight.

Congratulations to Highlands on a very nice season too. The Bluebirds are going to be a force to reckon with over the next couple seasons.

Congratulations Cooper.  Cooper was on fire second half.

Post game, I agree with Frank. Highlands was definitely the huge underdog. 17-7 at half Highlands. 54-6 ALL COOPER after that!!

Go Jags!!!

10 years straight for Highlands without a State Championship. Has this ever happened before?

No. The previous longest drought was six seasons from 1983-1988.

Any updates why Cooper RB was out?

Broken finger, hand or wrist.  Out for season.

That is a curb stomping. My goodness.

I thought Cooper would win but not like this.

I doubt it.

Anyone seen @FrankNicodemus? All his nostalgic memories and predictions didn’t reach Longbranch!

Cooper just does what they do! They played the worst first half of the year and found ways to beat themselves but they settled down and made adjustments in the second half and played with passion and emotion! It doesn’t matter what the score is, the Jags are gonna play til the end and tonight clearly demonstrated that! 54-6 in me half doesn’t happen by chance!

Time to continue the Mantra of “Nobody Cares, Work Harder!!”

Go Jags…Finish It!!

Congratulations to HHS on a great season.

To put it mildly….
