Now tied at 1 in the 7th

Reds win 5-1 and can go for a sweep tomorrow. Zach Littell in his first start as Red since coming over from the Rays going 7 innings of 1-run baseball. The Reds got a big 3-run homer in the top of the 7th by Spencer Steer.

Solid couple of games for the Reds to start the series. 

Some of those numbers are crazy.

Mets just lost tonight at home to the Braves 4-3 so going into the big series tomorrow with the Brewers the Reds now are only .5 behind the Mets for the last Wild Card spot.

I did some research as to what that exactly means and its basically this:

Removed from the 40 man roster but still on payroll.

Within 7 days the Reds can trade him or allow him to be claimed on waivers.  Anytime a player is put on waivers that can be withdrawn but at this point I don't see the Reds withdrawing him if he is claimed by another team.  If in 7 days he is not claimed or traded then the Reds can release him or assign him to AAA.  Crazy to think he was viewed as a key starter over the winter.

His hitting .232 and he has struck out in about 1 in every 4 at bats probably has a lot to do with it.
