January 25, 200719 yr You guys can keep riding Tubby all the way into the ground. There is a real problem going on in Lexington. IF we lose to Tennessee (3 in a row), you are going to see a complete melt down. The upper classman are use to losing and the freshman will be demoralized. Tubby better find a way to pull a miracle off... wow never thought I would have to say that about a home game. I dont know why you are telling me this for, I even said I am not defending UK or Tubby in this tread, because the loss tonight was pathetic...
January 25, 200719 yr UT can beat UK with or without Lofton, IMO. In Rupp, if UT doesn't have Lofton, I'll have to give the edge to the Cats. Down in Knoxville, I dont really think it matters whether C-Lo plays or not....If he's healthy for BOTH games, :sssh:. I don't fully agree or disagree. As w/ all Tubby teams this team is too unpredictable to figure out. I know Morris had some foul trouble this game but this team has to at some point realize that on offense, we begin w/ Morris. He doesn't have to score every time down but there is no reason he shouldn't touch the ball at least once every time down. The team had seemed to have been playing well w/ 11 wins( albeit against so-so competition) but Vandy seemed to kill whatever rhythm they had. Gonna have to find it again, if they don't I agree w/ ya.
January 25, 200719 yr Morris acts like he all of a sudden do really give a crap. Scored 43 points in the first 17 minutes and only 18 points in the last 23 minutes. Yes, 18 second half points!!!!!!!!! Good high school teams scores that in one eight minute quarter. I am a Tubby basher and I know alot of prepsters are not, but this team showed no effort, no fundamentals and the lst three possessions at the end of the game were horrible. Thomas threw the ball away twice, did not stay on Brown at the end when he got a dunk and no block out. Crawford kept us in the game but was a no show for most of the second half. Stevenson played great and set the bench while Perry & Thomas stunk up thw whole state of Georgia. As bad as I hate to sya it but Courie played better than those two. I am a big Wildcat fan but cannot stand to watch this team again this year!!!!!!!
January 25, 200719 yr I have a good idea that it will be another long season in the SEC East. Kentucky didn't execute well at all, this team doesn't have good chemistry, and the SEC is loaded with decent teams. Can you say 8 losses in the SEC regular season. Two losses to Florida, 1 LSU, 1 Bama, 2 Vandy, 1 Georgia, 1 Tenn. This is going to be a very long year. I am glad we had one quality win against IU. We need new chemistry, start from scratch.
January 25, 200719 yr I think from all I have heard the chemistry on the team is fine. Execution...not so good.
January 25, 200719 yr I think from all I have heard the chemistry on the team is fine. Execution...not so good. Chemistry and lack of execution are major problems, but in all honesty this team is just NOT THAT good.
January 25, 200719 yr Chemistry and lack of execution are major problems, but in all honesty this team is just NOT THAT good. I agree, as much as I would like them to be better. They just are not that good.
January 25, 200719 yr The loss is bad in that we were up 17 at one point, but Georgia is a tough team. Young squad who is still learning... for those of you who want to jump... go ahead... I'll stick with them.

January 25, 200719 yr I know this wasn't why UK lost, but will anyone be as happy as I am when Bobby Perry graduates. I'm sure everyone on this site knows about my strong dislike for Bobby Perry, and for those who haven't, trust me I have shown it for the past four years. For those who questioned me in the past, you now know why.
January 25, 200719 yr It used to kill me to see Kentucky not ranked in the top 25, I saw it as one of the biggest signs of our program in decline. However, considering the way we play basketball when not ranked compared to how we play while ranked, keep us out for the rest of the season.....All five loses have came while we have had a ranking. Hopefully we can capitalize on a Lofton-less Tennessee, if not somebodys seat will start to get just a little bit warmer () . Please, lets just get this thing turned around, I can handle a bad week if the Cats can just put it behind them and finish up strong.
January 25, 200719 yr Here's one thing I never hear mentioned. If you want to claim the SEC is now at or very close to the top of the hoops world (and it clearly is), you have to realize that means every team is better than when UK was running off 14+ SEC wins. Yes UK has a few roster problems and yes there are fewer NBA level guys in the fold, but even if they had better options this is a tough league to win games...
January 25, 200719 yr Once again we had another DVR incident in my house, the wife sets the recorder, I get home from work at 845pm and the wife decides to turn the TV on. Since you can tape two shows at once we were in a pickle when I got home, Friday Night lights and the UK were both on, I'm at the table, she scolls through the channels, she tells me not to look, hits the volume button and viola the UK game comes on for the "tip of OT". I still watch the game from the start and I couldn't believe UK up by 17 blows the lead and goes into OT. A loss to UGA in Athens is bad, not horrible, but losing after leading by 17 is terrible. This team needs to do some soul searching. Huge half by JC, nothing in the 2nd started well in OT then misses a pass during a critical time. Bradley was a no show, and Morris wasn't all that. UGA showed huge heart, UK showed none.

Ok a little bit ago I might have agreed with this, but now that I have calmed down and thought about it I dont see 8 losses in the SEC. Yes if we play like we have the last 2 games then yes it will happen, but I dont think we will continue to play like this. Alot of you all keep saying we we will lose to LSU, Bama, and UT. However have you all not noticed that LSU, Bama, and UT have lost to the same teams we have lost to so far in the SEC? Bama and LSU are definitely two games that we can win. We play UT this week at home without Lofton so probably could win that. Then we play at UT later in the year, and people are saying we wont win there, but has everyone forgot that we went in to there last year and won. So we can very easily do it again, because this years team is still better than last years team. Florida is a team that will be tough to beat, but I think we could beat them at home MAYBE. I will make a predicition now that this team will not have 10 losses going into the NCAA tournament this year. I believe we will probably have around 8 losses total and 5 sec losses going into the SEC tournament...

I know this is a different team but it seems like with this UK team, it doesn't matter where the game is played.
