Congrats Cooper!  Is this their first trip to state?

No 2nd! 2012!  This will be a rematch with BG.

I think everyone was superised how good Cooper was this year, and the train rolls on to Lexington

Congrats to Cooper on the big win!

When does the discussion of firing the Highlands coach start?

Very sad if that happens!

I don't think many in NKY are surprised. They had quite a bit coming back from last year.

Cooper has more future Division 1 football players than anyone in Northern Kentucky. Tough team for anyone to beat. Good luck to the Jags in Lexington.

And they are young!! Cooper only plays 4 seniors and one of them is the kicker!! But that’s for next year’s thread! Right now the players and coaches will celebrate for a few hours and get right back to work tomorrow morning for the trip to Lexington!!

Congrats Jags! Been doubted every game of the playoffs! It’s not about proving others wrong, it’s about proving yourselves RIGHT!!

BRING IT BACK TO NKY!!

Congrats to Cooper. I will gladly take a medium serving of crow with crème brûlée and cake. I preferred our Boone Co. friends to win but voted for the Birds thinking they would win by something like 31-14. The Jags run D fared much better in the rematch. Great win! Nice season by Highlands and good luck to the Jags as they go Krogering.

This will look good in the Cooper Trophy case! Huge win and quite possibly the biggest in school history! Hopefully they’ll top it with a win next week!

One more from Dale Dawn.

Ugh! What a game, what a season that ended a game short.

Its been a great ride, enjoyed every minute of it.

I said in the prediction thread, turnovers were the key to this game. Birds had 2 costly ones in final 4 minutes…..

This will sting for a very long time.

#ForeverBlueBird!!!

What a great game with a roller coaster of emotions for both teams! Two great teams on the field tonight, and literally came down to the very end. Didn’t matter the cold weather, both teams left it on the field tonight. This was very easily a state championship type of game, even though it was the semi-finals.

Congrats to Highlands on a great season. Cooper has now knocked off 3 one seeds in a row. However, one more one seed left to go in a great Bowling Green team.

Cooper has before played in the state championship game in both football and basketball and in both games they lost to Bowling Green. So hopefully third time will be the charm now for Cooper and they bring home the 5A State Championship to NKY next Saturday Night.
