No updates because there aren't updates is the vibe I've gotten too. We've gotten some info, from the Uncle, when things changed.

I get it. I think society has conditioned us to believe that we should ALWAYS be able to get information on most situations, because that's generally the case. When we don't get any info, we assume something is wrong. One of the negatives of social media, IMO.

I don't think most people realize that while it was a heart issue, the brain has to have time to stabilize and heal before they can tell if it has also been damaged. That can take several days in most cases, and is likely why we haven't had many updates. It hasn't even been 48 hours.

This follows with my line of thinking. It's not that we aren't getting updates, it's that we aren't getting updates just to get them.

Exactly, I'm not optimistic to the point that he goes out and plays again, maybe ever, but I certainly don't think it's a doomsday "only living on machines" situation either. 

I did find a story about how he came from a household with 2 hardworking parents and a great family support system. He had used his career to provide life changing situations (not necessarily wealth) to his family. Debt relief, etc. I hope he comes through this well enough to at least take on a public speaking career, or something like it to still provide for the family in a way that he had worked so hard to achieve.

To me it is all media in this case.  The coverage is non-stop only nothing of substance is being shared. 

Hearing some rumblings that the Bengals vs Bills game will be played on the Thursday, following Week 18, at a neutral site.  

Not sure what that would mean for playoffs, unless they push it all back, which I'd assume they would forget the week off for the Pro Bowl.
