It would be impossible for me to disagree with this sentiment any stronger than I do.  That is so incredibly short-sighted by the AD / Principal / Board, think bigger and long-term, make the best deci

All of Coach Brewer's kids have graduated. Have also heard his name rumored to this job, but recently told he might be in consideration to join Kenny Payne's staff at U of L.

No question he had a great career but with the talent he has had you have to wonder if he should have won more titles?

Five titles and you think he should have won more? Only one Mr. Basketball in those 24 years.

Will the Male coach have any interest?

No

FIVE titles?

You must be speaking of region championships because Ballard has won only one State Title in Coach Renner’s time there.

Winning the State is hard. Getting out of the 7th region is hard. He won what he won and should be commended for his accomplishments.

Does Miquel Coleman put in for this job, or does he finally put down roots and guide Manual into fulfilling it's potential? I think he's done really good work at a few other JCPS stops along the way.

Ok. Thanks for the correction. I must have read it wrong on the google link I pulled up.

I first heard about this job coming open mid-season last year, and Boo Brewer was the name I heard mentioned then as heir-apparent. It's the only name I've heard seriously discussed thus since Coach Renner officially announced he was retiring.

I think it's Brewer's job if he wants it.

Does Brewer have kids in high school? I seem to recall a daughter and maybe a son in the past but that's been a few years back. Those types of things are what keep people from or allow people to make a move.

I’m still hearing rumblings about Gaither for this one.  Usual caveat applies, believe half of what you see and none of what you hear…..

I am hearing that Ballard is promoting assistant Greg Willis to the head coaching position.

That has been my thoughts all along.

I had heard Willis was one of 3 finalists.  So, not a surprise that he’d get the job. I still think promoting from within makes sense when the assistant was part of a wildly successful regime. For one perceived to be underachieving, it makes less sense.
