Like I said Garrard County and Lincoln County are going in 2 different directions in football and I guess the same reason you moved to LC play basketball instead of GC . It’s not like they’re winning a state title in basketball ??‍♂️

Didn’t come here for basketball, or any sport for that matter, came for academics. ?‍♂️Unlike most I care about education more then I ever will sports, because maybe 1 out of 100 (and those are good odds) kids will actually go pro In ALL surrounding counties. We have been very pleased with the direction academics is going at LC.

Until the football program is given the same attention as the basketball program it will always play second fiddle.

  • I am not a candidate for the Lincoln County job. But, if @Mr.Network accepts the head coaching position, and @theguru is on staff, I will commit to setting up the pylons before the game.  According to

  • I think there is a pretty wide gulf between the jobs that people connect to Josh and those he actually applies for.  Not saying that is the case here, but he doesn't apply or go after a lot of the job

Then why speak of titles like Lincoln will be playing in one? Should have went to Boyle if you wanted a great education.

Come on, we’re getting close to Garrard Co in number of pages…..do we have 30 pages in us.

Never said that, just don’t expect Garrard to playing in one either! So unless kids are leaving for academics or something not offered by their previous school system then I don’t get the fuss.

Playing for a district title and winning are special to some kids. And most kids get a great education no matter what local school they’re at. It’s not like we have out of this world jobs around this area that take a special degree. So I don’t get the fuss if parents want their kids to be winners even if it’s just competing for a district title.

By all means go ahead, that’s not for me or anyone else to decide, it’s a kid and parent decision , just like ours was. I was just defending the fact that Garrards program isn’t so much better then Lincoln’s, it will be for 3 years but after that, unless they change some things I don’t see it being better then Lincoln.

Coach Crutchfield didn’t have Jeff Hester on the sidelines either.. and if Lincoln couldn’t win with all that talent last year then when will they? Garrard also played a better game against Danville the week prior to Lincoln playing them with a lot less talent. So we can sit and point fingers all we want but the fact is, the kids loved playing for Crutchfield and that was evident. You can say he got out coached or what not . Does that mean Dudley gets out coached every year since Bell hasn’t won a

Great coaches get out coached all the time. It happens. I wish we had Coach Hester on the sideline last season especially for the Bell game. Why did Garrard play a better game against Danville than Lincoln? Why was East Jess's only win against LC? If Lincoln had more talent then what was the issue?

For what it's worth, and then is simply a question, if Lincoln got out-coached in these games, will Rogers or Cooper provide a better result? I think there is confidence in both of their abilities. So I'm just curious.

I think we should refrain from comparing coaches who have 0 interest or influence in Lincoln Football. Let's just just talk about their candidates now.

It’s not always about Xs and Os if you don’t have the jimmys and joes. Maybe last years Lincoln class was just overrated. I can’t answer why a much younger GC team played Danville better. But I can tell you it’s not always the coaches fault if the kids don’t perform.

We have to get the pages up to at least 30. Just talking candidates slowed this thread down ?

Quite often it’s about matchups. Garrard did some things on offense that gave Danville trouble. Many of Lincoln’s strengths actually played into Danville’s strengths, which last season was speed on defense. There’s also a big difference in playing an opponent in Week 1 compared to Week 2.

Was about to say this, took the words right out of my mouth, always seems to be about matchups and 2 it’s high school football, sometimes kids just don’t show up to play, at the end of the day they are still kids.

Is Josh Jaggers by any chance related to Marty Jaggers who coached Lincoln from 91-96?

Yes, Josh is Marty’s son.

Boyle drops down to 3A again, Catholic will probably follow suit in 2023,

That is not how realignment works.
