If I’m not mistaken one kid who played for LC this year lived in Garrard County. So it wouldn’t be too much trouble for him.

Thats great for him. I would hope the young man would want to play for his hometown just like I was happy Coach Crutchfield got to go coach at his hometown school. That's the same reason I think Coach Rogers and Cooper deserve fair shots to coach at LC their hometown school.

Whoever gets the job needs to go right to Thaden Garr house and get him back on the football field. Kid is a game changer and can take it to the house any given time he touches it.

Absolutely! Missed seeing him this season. Good kid.

One thing I would encourage any freshman considering leaving LC to consider is the senior class that just graduated was Crutchfield's 1st class. They came in under a new head coach and heard all the same negative stuff being said about the direction of the program and they stayed at LC. They turned the program around not the coaches. The senior class in front of them had 3 or 4 guys because everyone else quit or transferred. I know a lot of the transfer stuff is parents and not the kids. I want the best for all our Lincoln kids and if as parents you don't want Lincoln on your kid's chest then go be a Golden Lion or Briarjumper or whatever else that makes you feel good. Nobody is going to be mad at you for doing what you think is best. Make no mistake, I dont want any of our boys in any colors other than red and white but everybody has got to do for their own. Truth is though, a kid isn't going to buy in if the parents aren't going to buy in so if that's the case its best for everyone to part company. Idont get how anyone is ready to transfer out before a new coach is even hired but whatever. One thing all of us who stayed 4 years and this last class of seniors can say is they are forever Patriots and Death Valley will always be their home. I know that dont mean nothing to a lot of people but to those of us who it does it means the world. Just be patient folks the sky's not falling.

This!!! 100% agree!!

I guess you didn’t watch the Bell County game last year when several underclassmen shined in the game. People like you only think they have Quisenberry because he’s one of the most talented players in the state. But that does overshadow Austin Adams , The Baker kid who’s one hell of a receiver , The running back who was out most of the year and only a Sophomore .. and not to mention big Mason Sula who’s probably the top lineman in the area and will receive D1 offers. Bell and Rockcastle lost A LOT. The Golden Lions will compete for the district title unlike Lincoln for the next 4 years or longer so why wouldn’t kids want to be apart of it?

I’m not sure what your getting at here. You names off 4 other kids, all I’m saying is it’s going to be tough sledding, is the ceiling there winning district or competing for state titles? Why would you leave LC to be in the same situation minus just winning district, their is a pretty good possibility that Boyle drops down to 3A again, Catholic will probably follow suit in 2023, then if their is a district realignment your going to sit here and tell me they are going to compete for it? Not gonna happen. Don’t get to comfortable with the district you have right now, it could change soon, and then you have one really good year (this year) and poof all the talk is gone about competing for their district or even competing for state titles, even if you win your district and it all stays as is, you have to deal with Paducah Tilghman, Belfry, LaRue County and cutter Boley, etown, their is a lot of really good teams in 3A I’m not sure Garrard will have the talent to compete year in and year out, next year will be there year to do something special if they can make it all work, and again I hope they do, but to sit here and downplay LC like their is no chance in winning is kinda ridiculous with the same thing could very easily happen to Garrard after this year.

Do we really feel like they will compete for their district? Bell County is still there and Rockcastle is always tough as well, you have one kid right now, and he’s special, but their are 11 kids on the field. I’m not sold that they will compete, Log Mountain is tough and Hilton will have a gameplan ready for them, this situation reminds me a lot of Robinson at Western Hills, one kid can’t win you every game. Need to get the pieces around him to make a run at district and state championship. It’s possible I’m not saying it’s not, I just don’t really see why you’d leave LC for GC. 🤷‍♂️

I think they will compete but I also saw Hilton own Crutchfield at Log Mountain. 100% out coached and thats not a knock on Crutchfield but Dudley and his staff are on a different level. A lot of poor personnel decisions when LC played them and the game was bad in all phases. So not getting it done with the talent he had at LC doesn't make me optimistic about GC.

For you to know so much about Lincoln football you’d also know that Lincoln had 3 linebackers out that also included Lee Amon at RB, and also Lincoln had 2 practices that week because of being out the previous week with Covid. Not taking anything away from Bell County but come on…

It doesn’t matter who you have to play, if you are good enough to win state, you are good enough no matter who you play. Any school can win at anytime. You have to have great players and great coaches. That’s why you play the game. If you aren’t playing to win a State Championship then why play?

Coach Crutchfield didn’t have Jeff Hester on the sidelines either.. and if Lincoln couldn’t win with all that talent last year then when will they? Garrard also played a better game against Danville the week prior to Lincoln playing them with a lot less talent. So we can sit and point fingers all we want but the fact is, the kids loved playing for Crutchfield and that was evident. You can say he got out coached or what not . Does that mean Dudley gets out coached every year since Bell hasn’t won a title since 1990?

Sorry Bell won in 08 also . But my point is . Just because you get beat doesn’t mean you got “out coached” that easy to say from the stands.

Why are we making this about the coaching staff? I’ve never once said anything about the coaching staff, all I said was I just don’t get leaving LC for GC like it’s that big of a difference in winning, because it’s not, if you want to go win state your going the wrong direction. Go down 150 instead of up 27.

LC went down 14 points before the defense really even stepped on the field. Terrible call on special team to start the game trying to gimmick one of the best coaches in Kentucky with a freshman kicker on turf you had never played on, and then trying to run a double wing with young guys who were way undersized and had no desire to block Bell county's size. Lookout blocks everywhere off the edges by the wings. I dont blame the guys, they were uncomfortable and unsure of technique and assignments. If you didn't have time to prepare then dont run that personnel in that offensive set. One of which resulted in a strip sack and quick points. The defense never truly had a chance. The offense still was grinding and moving the ball between the tackles. Until we go away from it inside the red zone and decide to throw the ball resulting in a pick. We scored in trash time. Took the same game plan to East Jess and got beat there too. Only game they won all season. Special team play calls and wrong personnel again. The boys had 2 days to prepare for Bell but the coaches had over a week to put a game plan together and consider personnel.  When #45 is standing on the sideline in the offense we were running that is a 1000% terrible personnel decision. I love Lincoln football but that was a turd of a game. Is what it is.

Like I said Garrard County and Lincoln County are going in 2 different directions in football and I guess the same reason you moved to LC to play basketball instead of GC . It’s not like they’re winning a state title in basketball . Should have went down 52 or 150 right? 🤷🏻‍♂️
