  • Come on man... Nobody can ever just beat Mayfield, right?

  • Not even saying that Mayfield wouldnt be a favorite if they had a Murray rematch, they would. Murray will even have to beat Caldwell just to get to that point. But i'll say this: Murray has played May

  • You have to remember, this Murray team was told over and over they could never live up to last years team because of the amount of senior talent that left.  Their former head coach and DC jumped ship

Interesting that Murray only moved up a spot or 2 with that big of a win. I feel like this is very close to being right Mayfield has shown they are right near the top 2 but had a hiccup. I believe they will still win through to meet Beechwood in the Semi-Final. A matchup I have been looking forward to quite sometime.

Murray has a loss to Caldwell County and Murray's strength of schedule is not good. I think 4-9 are all pretty even and capable of beating each other on a given night.

I’m surprised Green Co dropped all the way out.

Didn't the lose to #10 Metcalfe County? I would say Metcalfe took #10 away from them.

We currently have Green County ranked 11th.

They did. Metcalfe County came to play and did what they had to do. Green County played the worst game of the year, but that's part of it and have to Credit Metcalfe with that some as well.

Only Issue I see here is that Mayfield takes a loss to Murray but doesn't drop a spot, Murray ran all over the cards, hard for me to see them not drop a single spot after a loss.

I would hardly say Murray ran all over the Cards. While Murray controlled the clock and went for it on 4th down 5 or 6 times, they were extremely lucky to win the game. And while Mayfield layed a complete egg, you can dropped them to 10th, it will not matter.

The thing about Mayfield’s loss is I don’t really think Murray is very good. I might be way off but I think Green or Metcalfe could beat Murray. But they don’t have any name value. Sometimes it takes a team with name value two or three poor seasons before people start to think maybe they really are down. It’s the same way with teams with no name value it takes two or three good seasons before people start thinking they are pretty good.

Murray did beat Mayfield. ?‍♀️

If Mayfield had won the game 21-19, it would have been considered a loss.... in my book.

Murray is settling into their new offensive and defensive systems. They have steadily improved, especially on defense. Their defensive effort against Mayfield is what impressed me the most. They had several stops. The way they play, I think they’ll have a shot to beat just about anybody including Mayfield again.

Danville should be #10. I think they teams ranked 6-9 can all beat them.

Hard to argue that point!

Who does that say more about Murray or Mayfield or a combination of both.
