BluegrassPreps Class 2A Football Rankings 10/25

Not even saying that Mayfield wouldnt be a favorite if they had a Murray rematch, they would. Murray will even have to beat Caldwell just to get to that point. But i'll say this: Murray has played Mayfield down to the absoulte wire three times in a row including multiple overtimes. Mayfield could have won all three of those games as well as Murray. Considering 2 of Murray's wins happened at War Memorial, their offense is suited greatly for playoff weather football, I see no reason why we wouldnt have another game come down to the wire again. Listening to some Mayfield radio and streams of the game was absolute comedic gold!

  • You have to remember, this Murray team was told over and over they could never live up to last years team because of the amount of senior talent that left.  Their former head coach and DC jumped ship

I hope Murray gets the chance for a rematch with Mayfield, I would love to see that outcome. Also, is there a place I could watch the game from the other night online somewhere?

I'd like to think so, makes taking a rare loss easier ?  We have been blessed forsure and the future younger classes look to be loaded.  Winning alot makes taking losses harder when it does happen and fun for folks as they watch us struggle with trying to rapp our minds around it.  If I was granted 3 wishes, the first 2 would ensure that I would never want for anything again but that 3rd wish might have to be for the Cards to never lose again ?

Murray has beaten Mayfield two times in a row dating to last year. A third straight win denotes ownership of the rivalry, right?! ?

You might want to watch some Metcalfe games instead.

Mayfield is 85 and 17 against Murray. That's ownership.

Yes it is. That one heck of a record against one team.

Mayfield folks really struggling with a little humor in this thread. Yes, you’ve owned Murray. Yes, you’ll probably beat Green County. Yes, a game with Beechwood (home or away) will be fun. Geez folks, chill.

I've watched plenty of Metcalfe County games, they are a good and tough team. I really like the kids they have and the fight they play with. I have nothing but respect for that team.

I was interested in watching Mayfield and Murray, I enjoy good high school football games, and this sounded like one. I have no idea if Green County can beat Mayfield, but I hope we get the chance to see.

Hopefully Mayfield can get by Caldwell and Murray.

That sounds like some of those records with Kentucky basketball against the rest of the SEC.

#NeverGraduate

Does anybody know who will end up with the higher RPI between Murray and Caldwell assuming both win? I would think it could already be calculated somehow. I know Murray has a lead but it plays a 1A team with a low RPI and Caldwell plays a 3A team with a so-so RPI.

It has never happened before!
