No. It's getting better, but they are still missing some significant contributors.  The four that I can think of off the top of my head are: Krallman (MLB/TE), Link, (WR/DB), Suwinski (OLB/WR/TE), Lanham (WR/DB).  There are more, but I don't know who the rest are off the top of my head.  The four mentioned were in the starting lineup or had significant play time in the Elder game.

Roger Bacon cancelled on Beechwood. RB said they have closed their freshman season down. No info on why.

Beechwood looked for a replacement opponent and could not get one scheduled. I don't know who they did or didn't talk with.

Does a Highlands W over Ryle tonight cement their #2 status in the region?  Common opponents appear to give Highlands the edge.

Based on results, I would say yes.

The one thing that I think does throw things off a little is the way some programs choose to run their freshman team in terms of player development for JV and varsity in coming years. Not to say that I think there are programs out there that aren't trying to win on the freshman level, but I do think, for example, there are some programs that are more interested in trying out different players in different positions when they're playing freshman ball to see how they might best be developed and utilized once they move up to varsity. They certainly still want to be competitive, but their interest lies more in developing their players than it does in game outcome on the freshman level.

Thinking back to my freshman year, we had three different guys who came in as quarterbacks. Our #1 QB also started out as a starting outside linebacker on defense, and as the season progressed he was moved to strong safety, and our #2 QB saw significantly more playing time in games, with the #1 QB starting to focus more on defense. Come sophomore year, the #1 QB was almost exclusively at safety, and then by junior year he was no longer a QB. The #2 QB eventually made the change to DB as a junior. We also had a freshman RB who moved to place kicker, a freshman WR who moved to RB, freshman WR to DB, and so on. As freshman center, I was somewhat frustrated having the QB's swapping around behind me series after series and play after play, but they were working on figuring out more about how to develop them as players.

TL;DR - Some freshman teams turn their focus more to developing players while at the freshman level rather than focusing solely on winning games.
