Rose Hill guts out another victory over a quality Louisville Central team.

Leading scorers for both teams were:

For RH:

Euton 18 pts/9 reb

Jackson 14 pts/14 reb

Fuller 11 pts

For Central:

Skeens 16 pts/8 reb

Unseld 13 pts

The Royals are 2-1 in the K.O.B. and 5-1 overall. :thumb:

They play Louisville Doss Tuesday at 4:30.

Coming into this game Central was 6-1 with victories over Fairdale (also 6-1 with wins over N Oldham, Iroquois, N Bullitt, DeSales, Hancock Co. Shelby Co.) and Elizabethtown.

Not trying to make too much of this except to say the Central has a decent squad. :thumb:

A very significant win for the young Royals. Louisville Central is somewhat more than a "decent squad" having lost only to Warren Central by four points. The youngsters seem to be maturing under pressure quite nicely. Thank you to basketballmomcat and Fastbreak for the information.

I would say this is the best out of region win by a 16th team year to date.

Congrats Royals, I hope Russell will be as successful against Central when they play them next week in the 5/3rd:thumb:

I think you are right, Shooterx3, I think Rose Hill has a couple of the biggest wins for a 16th Region team. Rose Hill's stock is rising quickly.

Rose Hill has earned their spot as the #2 team in the 16th region right now. Keep representing the 16th well!

Did you tell Cubster?

That's a great win!!!!!!!:flame:

This is a nice win. Most Louisville teams are athletic. Athletisism is what the sixteenth region usually has trouble with when they go on the road. RH is doing some things that is suprising alot of people. Keep up the good work and keep believing!! They are ahead of schedule, so look out. Theyve played Mason, Louisville Ballard, Louisville Central, and tomorrow Louisville Doss. Pretty tough schedule. This type of compitition will make you grow up quick.

Central shot the ball horribly ... 30 percent from the field and 9-25 from the line. No patience on offense and jacking up shots from everywhere.

I was impressed with the freshmen ... Euton didn't shoot well, but he has good skills and is a sound player. Chad Jackson is a nice player and stays under control.

Great win for R.H., very impressive. Way to go Royals!:thumb:

The Hill is clearly a regional contender a year ahead of schedule. They will be a tough out in any tourney in this region, Class "A", District or Regional.

Doss will be the toughest Louisville team RH has played to date. Lets see how good they match up with them. Should be a good one.

Unseld 13 pts

.

I'll assume this young man is related to the more famous "Unseld" from Louisville.

Better than Ballard??????
