If Skyline was removed from the equation, my answer would change to my favorite soup, without a question.

Chili is definitely the answer, but I am of the opposite opinion. If the chili were to be only Cincinnati style chili, I'd have to consider soup (though that type of chili is close to soup anyway).

Don't get me wrong, I like that type of Chili, especially Dixie, especially over spaghetti, but prefer a hearty Texas style. In fact, when I make my version of Cincinnati style chili, I start with 2 or 3 lbs of ground beef and add cans of Dixie or Skyline to season the beef. My version is thick.

Ain't nothin' better 'an leftover chili for breakfast.

Add a couple of over easy eggs on top and you have something close to Heaven.

I told my wife I want it for lunch in a few minutes.

Mission accomplished!  I'm happy now!

There is only 2 kinds of chili good and better.

As long as it’s not Cincinnati Chili, chili would be my choice. I still don’t consider Cincy Chili, actual real chili...it’s a decent hot dog condiment, but it is not chili.

Chili, because I'm not much of a soup person.   I do like chowders, but given the choice, it's chili.

Chili years ago would have been an easy pick for me. That said, my wife's homemade potato soup with bacon bits, chives and cheddar cheese sprinkled on top makes this an impossible choice for me.

I prefer my soups to any chili. Vegetable or Chicken Curry soup.

Not many people liked Skyline or GoldStar in North East,Ky. We had both here at one time in Russell  and neither lasted. There is a Mexican place there now.  I think they will do better than those Cincinnati Chili places. I am in agreement with the ones who don't like Cincinnati Style Chili.

"Sweet" chili isn't really my thing either...definitely not on hotdogs.

The ticket is having a significant number of transplanted folks from the Cincinnati area living into a different city who regularly eat there and then promote the product to friends and neighbors.  That's why Skyline Chili can succeed in a place like Florida.
